Chelsea Handler may have someone new in her life!
In PEOPLEâs exclusive sneak peek at her appearance on the March 4 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show, the comedian and author, 50, gives fans an update about her dating life and confirms she had a new partner.
âI have someone that Iâm seeing now that Iâm very attracted to and that I like having sex with, and so thatâs a really good like nice little thing I have going,â she reveals.
When host Jamie Kern Lima asks if her relationship was âserious,â she confesses, âI donât think any relationships that Iâve been in [have been] serious,â noting that she didnât consider herself a ârelationship person.â
âI think of myself as a purpose person,â Handler explains. âLike my purpose is here, to be here to have conversations like the one weâre having right now, to infuse people with optimism, to be there for women, that is my purpose in this life, whether theyâre more lives or not.â
She adds, âAll I know is I know what Iâm supposed to be doing, and any man thatâs in my life is not the main character. Thatâs a side relationship, and I love them, and I want to respect everybody, but thatâs not my main M.O. in life. Iâm not that kind of person.â
Still, she and her mystery beau have been dating for a substantial amount of time. Handler reveals that she and her current partner have been involved for ânine months.â
The pre-taped episode featuring The Chelsea Handler Show alum comes shortly after she was spotted standing arm-in-arm with Ralph Fiennes outside this yearâs Vanity Fair Oscars party on March 2.
The unlikely duo appeared to be chatting and laughing as they left the soirĂ©e together. Handler wore a metallic silver strapless gown and gold pointed-toe pumps, while the Best Actor Oscar nominee kept things classic with a wide-lapeled black suit and matching bowtie.Â
