‘Charlie’s Angels’ vets honor Farrah Fawcett in 2026 Emmys reunion

Angels reunited!

Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd made a triumphant return at the 2026 Emmys to mark the 50th anniversary of “Charlie’s Angels,” paying tribute to the late Farrah Fawcett in the process.

“I would like to acknowledge someone not standing with us tonight, and that’s my friend Farrah Fawcett,” Smith said, adding that Fawcett is “here with us in everyone’s collective memory.”

Jackson chimed in, calling the late actress — who died of cancer in 2009 at the age of 62 — “the shiniest angel of all.”

Concluding the tribute, Ladd noted that Fawcett’s “iconic poster” featuring her in a red swimsuit “lives in the minds and the garages of many a man.”

The show, which premiered ran for five seasons between September 1976 and June 1981, featured three police academy-trained private detectives, whose boss, Charlie, was never seen and relayed instructions via speakerphone.

The cases often required the trio to don revealing outfits, ushering in the phrase “jiggle TV.”

Smith, 80, Jackson, 77, and Fawcett were the original trio. Fawcett left after one season and was replaced by Ladd, 75.

Smith’s recent memoir, “I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie,” shares behind-the-scenes details from the Aaron Spelling-produced series, which was co-created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts for ABC.

She dubbed her pal, Jackson, a “complex person” whose anger “could get the best of her.”

The actress described a time Jackson, who was “savvy and skilled, and at times downright silly,” once “flew into a fury over some slight” on the set of the series.

“She climbed behind the wheel of her motor home, with me by her side, and just drove it in circles around the lot, over and over,” Smith wrote. “It was funny at first, but the teamsters were not happy with us.”

She noted that Jackson allegedly felt “a lot of resentment” toward the iconic show.

Jackson, according to Smith, helped come up with the title and the idea that the Angels never actually met their boss but took direction from him via a speakerphone — and “she felt that she was owed both an acknowledgment and a piece of the profit as a creator.”

However, Smith wrote that “producers disagreed.”

Earlier this year, Jackson voiced her annoyance that the actresses saw no money from the show’s dizzying array of spinoff merchandise.

“Yeah, funny thing,” she told Page Six exclusively at the 2026 Paley Center Honors. “All that merchandising, somebody got rich off of it; it wasn’t the three of us! They’ll have to figure that one out; some attorney can figure that out.”

“Of course it annoys me,” Jackson exclaimed when we asked if she was irked by the finances.

Smith also alleged that Jackson did not get along with Ladd when she first came on set.

“It was difficult feeling caught between Kate and Cheryl,” she wrote in her book. “Kate never fully accepted Cheryl. Maybe it was because she missed Farrah, and in Kate’s mind no one could take her place.”
