Charlie Sheen reunited with his ex-wife, Denise Richards, and their daughter, Lola, for an âawesomeâ day out this week.
The Two and a Half Men star, 60, shared a rare photo of the trio smiling after they spent some quality family time together.
Sharing the mirror selfie on Instagram with overlaying text that read, âawesome day with the girls,â Charlie captioned the snapshot: âGuess I had to get off that thing behind me, to reconnect with whatâs around me.â
The outing didnât just mean a lot to Charlie, but also to his daughter, Lola, 20, who often refrains from the spotlight. âAwe dad!!! I love you so much, today was so special to me and I love this photo,â she wrote in the comment section.
One family member noticeably missing from the photo, however, was Charlie and Deniseâs eldest daughter, Sami, 22.
Sami and Charlie have a complicated relationship, with Sami previously opening up about the tension between them, revealing they hadnât spoken in several months.
âMe and my dad havenât really spoken much in the past five months,â she said last April in an episode of Denise Richards & Her Wild Things.
âIt goes in very big chunks with him. I think for the first 13 years of my life, it was pretty bad, and then we were OK for a couple years, and now itâs just like, OK.â
âI understand why Sami feels the way she does,â Denise added. âIt hasnât always been perfect with he and Lola, either â with any of his kids. So I hope that he does recognize that because heâs missing out.â
That same month, Sami appeared on the Casual Chaos podcast and told host Teresa Giudiceâs daughter Gia that she and her dad âhavenât spoken on the phone in almost a yearâ and hadnât exchanged texts for âa little over six months.â
Charlie has also spoken about his relationship with his daughter and admitted that even though it is strained now, he is optimistic they can repair the damage in the future.
âThereâs some stuff going on with Sami, but weâll fix it,â he told People in September 2025, adding: âIâve got more days behind me than in front of me, and thatâs fine.
âThatâs the deal we get when we show up [on Earth],â he continued. âBut what I try to tell my kids is, âDude, youâre going to be here so long after Iâm not. So try to hang on to at least 10% of what Iâm saying. I guarantee it will come in handy somewhere, I promise it.'â
He also said of Sami in an interview on GMAÂ that same month: âAs long as everybody is still in the game, thereâs always a shot for a better tomorrow.
âI donât really know what I did, thatâs the problem. I donât know what Iâm supposed to apologize for. But I have absolute faith that this is not a forever thing. Her and I will work it out. Itâs too valuable to let some moment destroy all of that.â
