Erika Kirk (née Frantzve) revealed that her 3-year-old daughter told her she “can’t wait” to go to heaven following her father Charlie Kirk’s death.

The conservative activist, 37, kicked off a full week of appearances on Fox News with an interview on Hannity on Monday, December 8, to promote her late husband Charlie Kirk’s posthumous book, Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life.

Speaking to host Sean Hannity, 63, Erika was asked whether believing that heaven is awaiting Christians when they die has brought her any comfort.

“It does,” Erika responded. “My daughter and I, we’ve talked about this at night. She would ask, ‘What do you think Daddy did today in heaven?’ And I’ll have her relay that back to me.”

Erika shared how she explained Charlie’s death to her young daughter.

“We’ve come to the understanding, and I’ve tried to explain this to her, that Daddy’s still with us, he’s just in a different location and he’s building us a home in heaven,” she said. “And I’ve said this before, but she said, ‘I can’t wait to go.’ I said, “Me too, baby.”

Her husband, Charlie, was shot dead while addressing students at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10. Suspected shooter Tyler James Robinson was apprehended by police the following day and has since been charged with aggravated murder and additional felonies. (Robinson, 22, has yet to enter a plea. Prosecutors have said they will pursue the death penalty if the case goes to trial.)

Erika delivered a eulogy for Charlie at his public memorial at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on September 21, in which she said had forgiven her husband’s killer.

“I forgive him because it is what Christ did,” Erika told mourners. “The answer to hate is not hate.”

In November, she revealed in a sit-down with Megyn Kelly that she and Charlie had hoped to grow their family before his murder. (Charlie and Erika got married in May 2021. They shared a son and a daughter, whose names they chose to keep private.)

“We wanted to have four [children],” she said. “And I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he got murdered. … Both of us were, we were really excited to just expand our family.”

Erika explained that another baby “would [have been] the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe.”

“Now when I see young couples, I tell them, ‘Please, don’t put it off,’” she added. “Especially if you’re a young woman, don’t put it off. You can always have a career, you can always go back to work. You can never just go back to having children.”

Erika took over for Charlie as the chairman and CEO of his conservative political organization, Turning Point USA, mere days after the activist’s murder.

“[Charlie] worked tirelessly to ensure Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest test,” the organization said in a statement on September 18. “And now, it is our great pride to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board for Turning Point USA.”

During an interview at the New York Times’ 2025 DealBook Summit on December 3, Erika raised eyebrows while discussing Zohran Mamdani’s recent election as mayor of New York City. When Andrew Ross Sorkin suggested that Mamdani managed to win over younger female voters much like Charlie had with conservative males, Erika claimed some women view government as “a form of replacement for certain things relationship-wise even.”

“What I don’t want to happen is women, young women in the city, look to the government as a solution to put off having a family or a marriage because you’re relying on the government to support you instead of being united with the husband, where you can support yourself and your husband can support and you can guys all combine together,” she argued.

“I just find it so ironic and so interesting that a heavy percentage of the individuals that voted for him are female,” Erika concluded.

Erika will continue promoting her late husband’s book with appearances on Fox & Friends and Fox News Radio’s The Brian Kilmeade Show on Tuesday, December 9. She will guest host The Five at 5 p.m. ET on Tuesday, followed by an interview on Outnumbered on Wednesday, December 10, at 12 p.m. ET.
