Formula 1 returns next weekend, but it appears that Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has another reason to celebrate, as the star has seemingly tied the knot with his fiancée, Alexandra Saint Mleux.
Although the couple haven’t confirmed that they have tied the knot, footage shared by fans and Monaco news outlets captured the duo driving off in a vintage Ferrari, valued at £9 million. In the clips, both Charles and Alexandra were seen wearing white, and Alexandra carried a bouquet of flowers with her.
The couple were followed by three motorcycles and a black Mercedes as they went for a picturesque drive in the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa.
HELLO! has reached out to Charles’ representatives for comment.
Charles and Alexandra’s engagement
If the pair have been married, then the ceremony has come around quickly, as they only announced their engagement back in November. The star, who has been driving for Ferrari since 2019, pulled out all the stops for his romantic proposal, popping the question in a candlelit setting surrounded by a sea of red rose petals shaped into a heart.
Dozens of glowing candles and lush bouquets added to the dreamlike ambiance, creating a picture-perfect backdrop for the couple’s unforgettable evening.
It wasn’t just Charles who got involved in the proposal, as the couple’s adorable dog, Leo, was seen joining them in a sweet photo. Another heart-melting image captures the pair sharing a passionate kiss, Alexandra cradling her new fiancé’s face.
Captioning their engagement photo, Charles simply said: “Mr². & Mrs. Leclerc.”
At a press conference held a week after the engagement, Charles said: “Alex is the closest person that I have, with my family. And they live the career just like we do, the ups and the downs, and they support us in the best possible way.
“And Alex has done that since the very first day I met her, so, yeah, she’s definitely a very important part of my life, obviously, but also of my career and the way you manage the ups and downs.”
Charles and Alexandra’s relationship
The couple were first linked in March 2023, with Charles confirming the relationship just two months later during an interview with Gala France. However, at the time, the driver only confirmed he was “off the market” without directly naming Alexandra.
It was another two months before the couple made their first joint outing, where they were seen in the audience at Wimbledon, with the pair cheering on Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz.
The couple also typically don’t mention each other directly, although during an appearance on the Beyond the Grid podcast, Charles revealed that Alexandra was a fan of Taylor Swift.
Alexandra has easily integrated into Charles’s life, and when they made their couples’ debut, she was seen sitting alongside one of the driver’s best friends, Pierre Gasly.
