Bruce Lee’s movie star son, Brandon Lee, once told Brad Pitt that he would die young, just a year before booking the starring role in The Crow. “I remember back in the early days I hung out with Brandon Lee. He drove a hearse and lived in Echo Park,” Brad recalled to Esquire.

“We went out one night, and everyone else had peeled off, and we ended up back at his place, and it was like six in the morning,” Brad continued.

“A real, you know, drunk and stony night, and he proceeded that night to tell me how he thought he was going to die young like his dad. And I just chalked it up to, you know, stony six a.m. talk. Then he got The Crow the next year.”

Brandon died in March 1993 at just 28 years old when an actor on the set of The Crow fired a prop gun at him that had a dummy bullet stuck inside from an earlier scene.

The fragment went through his abdomen to his spine, and he later died from internal bleeding. His father, the legendary martial arts star Bruce Lee, died aged 32 from severe swelling of the brain caused by a reaction to a painkiller.
