Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas’ sprawling Westchester County home is full of extravagance and luxury, but despite its appeal, the couple is struggling to find a buyer.

Nearly two years after they listed the eight-bedroom, 11.5-bathroom estate in Irvington for a whopping $12 million, after buying the riverfront property for $4.5 million in 2019, Catherine, 56, and Michael, 81, have dropped the asking price by $2.25 million.

The listing was removed in April 2025 and put back on the market for $10 million the following month, only to be taken down again before it was relisted on March 19, 2026, for a reduced price of $9.75 million, according to realtor.com.

The couple moved into the home after downsizing from their 15,000-square-foot mansion in nearby Bedford, which they reportedly sold for almost $20.5 million.

The property, known as Longmeadow, spreads across more than 11,600 square feet on a 12-acre lot and “is both grand in scale and intimate in feel,” according to the listing.

“Longmeadow, nestled in the heart of Irvington’s prestigious Matthiessen Park, is a true showstopper—a timeless example of Hudson River grandeur,” the listing says. “Majestically set on 12 sweeping acres of lush, open grounds, this extraordinary estate captures the full splendor of its idyllic surroundings.”

Catherine and Michael carried out extensive renovations on the home, and it now boasts a “fully immersive lifestyle experience” featuring a two-story, paneled library, a fitness room, an indoor pool, and a games room.

“The lower level offers a fully immersive lifestyle experience, with dedicated areas for recreation, fitness, and entertaining,” the listing adds.

There is a blend of formal and informal rooms, but the first floor boasts a formal living room and dining room, as well as the kitchen.

However, the “defining highlight of the first floor is the breathtaking loggia, opening to a 100-foot west-facing terrace that frames unobstructed river views,” the listing notes.

Outside is just as impressive with a summer house, another kitchen, and a spacious dining area with a chandelier hanging overhead.

“A once-in-a-lifetime offering, Longmeadow is an estate where timeless beauty meets modern luxury, and every amenity is crafted to deliver an unparalleled lifestyle,” the listing adds.

“With guest quarters, a private dressing area, and garage parking for four or more cars, this is truly a legacy property unlike any other.”

When the couple listed the home in June 2024, Catherine said it was the right time after she and Michael became empty nesters when both their children, Dylan, 25, and Carys, 22, moved out of the family home.

“When I purchased our Irvington home, I knew our family would share many happy times here, and we have!” she told the Wall Street Journal.

“Now that both our son and daughter have left the nest, it seems like the right time to sell.”
