Cate Blanchett stole the show as she stepped out in London for a glittering evening celebrating the very best of British theatre, with the Oscar-winning actress showcasing incredibly toned arms in a striking strapless ensemble.
The Tar star attended The Standard Theatre Awards 2025 Winners Dinner, held at the iconic Claridge’s Hotel on Sunday March 22, 2026 where the industry’s brightest talents gathered to honour the standout performances and productions from the past year.
Effortlessly elegant, Cate opted for a sculptural, dark velvet strapless gown that accentuated her statuesque frame and highlighted her sculpted shoulders and arms – a look that perfectly balanced understated glamour with modern sophistication.
Wearing her blonde bob in soft, tousled waves and keeping her makeup fresh and luminous, her minimal jewellery allowed the dramatic silhouette of her gown to take centre stage.

“But it’s the follow-spot theatre that you’re talking about, where the lead actress or actor is slightly more brightly lit than others … You used the word ‘cynical’. I think you can smell that.”
