Caitlin Clark had the sweetest response when she was asked about going to a Chiefs game with Taylor Swift.

Clark, 23, spilled all the details on her Jan. 18 outing with Swift, 35, to cheer on the singer’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs as they defeated the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium.

Speaking with David Eickholt of 247Sports, the WNBA star said she was in disbelief that she was invited to attend the game with Swift, and if she had been told about the opportunity a year and a half ago, “I probably would have been like, ‘What?!,’ ” she shared.

“Obviously, I’m a huge Chiefs fan, I’ve been a huge Chiefs fan, and obviously Taylor is a huge Chiefs fan too, so it was fun and obviously worked out where we could go and we had the time,” the Indiana Fever star remarked of her and Swift’s busy schedules.

“It was perfect where it all worked out.”

Clark said she and Swift “had so much fun” during the playoff matchup in Kansas City, calling it the “perfect game” for her to have attended with Swift.

“It’s just cute to see how excited she is for the Chiefs,” Clark continued, “and getting to share that with her, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I love this!’ She loves the Chiefs as much as me.”

Clark went on to praise the “Karma” singer, calling Swift “very sweet and kind” in person. “It’s just a good reminder of people in our position, like, we’re very normal,” Clark said. “And you know, sometimes our lives aren’t normal but we’re very normal people, we enjoy watching sports. It just puts a great perspective on life and where you’re at in your career.”

Clark has been a longtime fan of Swift’s and after she was named Time’s “Athlete of the Year” in 2024, she talked about her longtime fandom, and shared her interactions with Kelce when they both attended one of Swift’s Eras Tour shows.

During Swift’s Nov. 1-3 run at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Clark attended two shows — and even met with the Chiefs tight end and his mom Donna Kelce.

After learning of Clark’s fandom through Kelce, Swift sent the WNBA star multiple bags of Eras Tour merchandise, per Time, and wrote her a letter inviting her to a Chiefs game.

The “So High School” singer also reportedly wrote in her note that “Trav and I” are hoping to attend an Indiana Fever game to watch her play when the next WNBA season kicks off.
