Caitlin Clark just scored a style slam dunk in Prada.
On Wednesday, Dec. 11, the 22-year-old WNBA star attended the A Year in TIME dinner in New York City at Current in Chelsea Piers, wearing a custom gown from the luxury brand.Â
The Indiana Fever guard, who was just named TIMEâs Athlete of the Year, wore a custom version of Pradaâs embroidered sablĂ© mini-dress, opting for a floor-length gown instead.Â
Her black, loose fitting garment featured a plunging V-shaped neckline that upped the wow factor.Â
Clark wore strappy black stilettos and accessorized with both silver and black rings and bracelets as she smiled for photos on the red carpet with her hands on her hips. She went for natural makeup and both silver stud and mini hoop earrings.Â
The basketball playerâs hair was pulled back with a sleek middle part, adding elegance to her overall look.Â
When she turned to the side to show off the back of her gown, silver embellished straps with flowers ran from her shoulder to her waist. The straps ended in mini black bows.
In some photos, she held up images from her TIME magazine shoot.
âI tell people I feel like the most controversial person,â Clark said in her interview with the outlet. âBut I am not. Itâs just because of all the storylines that surround me. I literally try to live and treat everybody in the same exact respectful, kind way. It just confuses me at times.â
The former University of Iowa ball player made headlines when she became the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft in April.
âYou feel powerful,â Clark continued. âInstantly, everybody goes crazy. People are invested in the game, they love the game, and thatâs what makes it so fun for me. These people arenât supporting womenâs sports to check a box. Itâs going to be the new normal.â
She proudly displayed her cover photos at the A Year in TIME dinner.Â
According to Pradaâs website, the dress retails for $4,300, however, Clark is an ambassador for the brand.
When she arrived at the 2024 WNBA Draft at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in April, she stunned in a Prada double white satin shirt and skirt set.
