Bunnie Xo addressed every burning question about her life — from her experience as a sex worker to the abuse she allegedly suffered as a child — in her new unfiltered memoir.
Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, available now, offers insight into Bunnie Xo’s traumatic childhood, her marriage to Jelly Roll and more.
“I am very vocal online and I have [my ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast] where I have people tell their stories. But the crazy thing is that nobody really knows my life story. They know bits and pieces that I’ve allowed them to know, but nobody knows the full story,” Bunnie Xo, 46, exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of the book’s release. “It was very cathartic looking back and seeing all that I had overcome. But I never stopped to really think about it. It was really awesome to be able to look back and be like, ‘Man, I made it through this.’ It was definitely therapeutic and cathartic.”
With nothing off the table, Bunnie Xo had no concerns about the people she mentioned. (Names were changed throughout the book.)
“Surprisingly, every single person in my life — besides one ex — is happy that I’m writing the book and they are so excited about it,” she noted. “I have an ex-husband who’s thrilled about it, I have ex-boyfriends who are so excited about it and they wanted their real names in the book.”
Bunnie Xo said she learned more about herself from writing her memoir, adding, “I definitely wouldn’t have wasted so much time on men. I was really addicted to love — or lust. Thank goodness that I have my knight in shining armor now.”
She concluded: “I have a problem with romanticizing my past. I have a savior complex because I wasn’t saved. I’m at peace with it and I won’t be giving back to my past anymore.”

Bunnie Xo’s Alleged Experience With Abuse as a Child
In the memoir, Bunnie Xo recalled allegedly being forced to watch porn by her stepmother’s sister when she was 5 years old. She also claimed she saw her father having sex with various women when she was “only 2 or 3” and that he would watch porn in front of her as she got older.
Bunnie Xo revealed she was molested at the age of 5 by the son of a family friend, who was “violently raping his own sister.” Years later, the unnamed man — who was 16 when he abused Bunnie Xo — ended up in prison for serial rape.
Bunnie Xo’s 1st Time Having Sex
When Bunnie Xo was a teenager, she had sex with her then-boyfriend, who “was so small that being on top meant it would barely go in.”
“He was so unsure of his movements that he wouldn’t go deep enough and was just laying it in the very entrance of my vagina,” she recalled. “I’d popped my own cherry the first time I had sex. Tell me that’s not the story of my entire f***ing life.”
Bunnie Xo Got an Abortion at 16 Years Old That Led to Fertility Issues
Bunnie Xo found out she was pregnant while dating the guy she lost her virginity to and later had an abortion. “[The doctor] shoved what felt like a vacuum nozzle inside of me. The pain was intense. All I could do was scream on the inside. … The doctor didn’t listen. He continued the procedure and it felt like being split open and having my insides ripped out. I didn’t know then that the doctor had messed something up during the procedure. My insides would never be the same again.”
Elsewhere in Stripped Down, Bunnie Xo recalled experiencing numerous ectopic pregnancies after her abortion. She continued to face fertility issues and miscarriages, which made her decide to get a surrogate while trying to expand her family with husband Jelly Roll.
Bunnie Xo’s Drug Use Over the Years
In her memoir, Bunnie Xo referenced doing 12 lines of crystal meth, which resulted in her not being able to move for three days due to an overdose. She also took X that was laced with heroin and did cocaine enemas.
“Eventually, the drugs stopped hitting like they used to. But we weren’t about to give up on getting high. Lucky us, one of our tricks taught us to do cocaine enemas,” she recalled about her days as a sex worker. “You’d lay out a line like you were going to snort it and put it into a syringe without a needle. You’d add water and shake it up and then up the wazoo. It was the best high I’d ever felt.”
Bunnie Xo’s Alleged Experience With Sexual Assault
When she was 16, Bunnie Xo was allegedly raped by an older guy and his fraternity brother tried to take advantage of her hours later. She claimed she was later assaulted by her abusive ex-boyfriend Karma, who she was with for years.
Mentions of Self Harm
While dating a man she referred to as Tony in the book, Bunnie Xo found out she was pregnant. She suffered a miscarriage which led to her self-harming. She revealed that her ex Tony died by suicide decades later after having a difficult time dealing with the loss of their unborn child.
Bunnie Xo attempted suicide for a second time while dating an ex she called Mark, who allegedly laughed in her face after she tried to take her life. While married to Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo briefly considered suicide amid his infidelity.
Bunnie Xo’s Ex-Boyfriends
Along with exes Jordan, Tony and Mark, Bunnie Xo dated Eric, who she claimed “ended up with a domestic violence charge.” She married an ex she referred to as Paulie when she was starting her career in sex work. According to Bunnie Xo, Paulie’s family previously had “been raided by the FBI and indicted on RICO charges, money laundering, and racketeering.”
Several sections of the memoir addressed Bunnie Xo’s allegedly abusive ex Karma . While living with Karma and his longterm girlfriend, Bunnie Xo said she suffered horrific abuse.
“They hauled Karma off to jail, and I lay in bed for two days while he was gone, trying to pull myself together. I couldn’t even go make money if I wanted to. My face was mangled. Every blood vessel in my eyes had burst from being strangled. One eye was completely swollen shut, and the black rings around them were the deepest and darkest I’d ever had,” she claimed. “It took years for those bruises to fully fade. When I finally did go to the hospital for my eyes because I was so scared I was going to go blind, the doctor told me he had only seen injuries like mine in women who had died from strangulation, and that I had a cracked orbital bone.”
Her Marriage to Jelly Roll
From their early dating days to his infidelity and their decision to fight for their relationship, nothing was off limits as Bunnie Xo defended why she chose to stay with Jelly Roll.
“We were two strangers who rushed to the altar in 2016 and became parents of a traumatized 7-year-old in 2017. Fully sober in 2018. It’s enough to make anyone’s head spin. We both were still carrying lifetimes of trauma on our backs,” she wrote. “Is it an excuse for his behavior? Absolutely not. But I do pride myself on being able to see both sides of the coin and put myself in another person’s shoes.”
Bunnie Xo also addressed rumors that she and Jelly Roll are in an open marriage, writing, “J has always told me that I can sleep with other men if I want to. … We argued about it many times until I finally just accepted the fact that that’s who he is. I’m not going to try to change him into something he’s not — and I started to agree with him.”
Bunnie Xo’s Days as a Sex Worker
Stripped Down featured a variety of anecdotes from Bunnie Xo’s time as a sex worker, including when she farted during her first dance as a stripper and that her first client allegedly took turns sleeping with her and two other women.
“It was over faster than I could remotely have anticipated. I must have ridden him for no more than two minutes. He finished, and me and the girls took our money and left,” she recalled. “Driving home, I decided it wasn’t really so bad. I didn’t feel guilty or even that gross. Two minutes of that f***** inside of me, and I got paid and left.”
Elsewhere in the book, Bunnie Xo claimed she was told by Playboy scouts that she weighed too much at 120 pounds. She later faked a sex scene for PlayboyTV. In 2020, Bunnie Xo found enough success with her podcast to transition to OnlyFans. She recalled making $50,000 on the platform within the first month, which convinced her to retire after a few decades as a sex worker.
Bunnie Xo’s Tumultuous Relationship With Her Family
Bunnie Xo refused to mention either of her sisters in her memoir. She referred to her mother as “a drug addict and a paranoid schizophrenic” who left her when she was 3 months old for her father to raise her after he “wound up in the hospital with hepatitis from shooting blow.”
She attempted to reconcile with both of her parents ahead of their deaths. Bunnie Xo’s mother died with a heart that “was so enlarged” after years of addiction and living in horrible conditions.
Her father was married to his eighth wife when Bunnie Xo found out he had cancer. Bunnie Xo’s father was diagnosed two decades prior but didn’t pursue treatment because he allegedly didn’t want it to ruin his sex drive. Bunnie Xo alleged she tried to help her father as he was “rotting in some hospital bed in Texas,” but he refused and “told me he’d have me arrested.” Before she could fly to see him, he was dead.
Bunnie Xo’s dad wrote her out of his will, claiming, “I bequeath nothing to my daughter Alisa because she’s well off and has reminded me numerous times.”
While reflecting on their ups and downs, Bunnie Xo told Us, “Me and my father’s relationship will always weigh heavy on my heart. It was realizing how much I really tried to chase love from my father that he was never able to give me. It was easier for me to forgive [my mom]. I really think our roles were reversed in this life — like I was her mother in my past life, and she was my daughter.”
