Lighting it up like dynamite.
BTS took over The Guggenheim in New York City Wednesday for a top secret âTonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonâ performance.
The boy band â which includes members RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook â performed two tracks, âSWIMâ and â2.0.,â off their new album, âArirang,â Page Six has confirmed.
BTS is set to appear on the late night talk show on Wednesday night, marking their first group interview since reuniting after a four-year hiatus.
One of the bandâs performances from the Guggenheim will premiere during the episode, while the second will air during Thursdayâs episode.
Weâre told that almost 200 fans were bused in from 30 Rockefeller Plaza to the Upper East Side museum to keep the concert a secret â they even had their phones taken away.
For â2.0,â the audience members lined the Guggenheimâs spiral ramps before they were moved to cushions on the floor to create a more intimate atmosphere for âSwim.â
Fans who didnât make it inside were lined up outside of 30 Rock hoping to catch a glimpse of BTS.
Host Jimmy Fallon was also on site to introduce the band.
The KPop groupâs early morning adventure comes a week after online speculation of a surprise concert in Manhattan.
Although the internet knew something was brewing, fans incorrectly guessed that it would take place in Times Square.
Jungkook previously performed there for the debut of his solo album, âGolden,â in 2023.
Along with their new album and press tour, the groupâs Netflix documentary, âBTS: The Return,â premieres on Friday.
However, The Guggenheim wasnât the bandâs first post-reunion concert. This past Saturday, BTS performed together for the first time since October 2022 with a livestream concert on Netflix.
The performance drew in 18.4 million viewers globally, according to the streamer.
The free concert took place at Gwanghwamun Square, with over 100 thousand people in attendance.
Fans are thrilled to have BTS back together after they went on hiatus to complete their mandatory military service.
The group previously took a break from performing in 2019 as well.
