Brooks Nader turned something old into something new.
The model, 27, has been spotted wearing a ring with a large pear-shaped diamond at the center multiple times recently, sparking engagement rumors between herself and boyfriend Gleb Savchenko.
However, Nader tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement that the jewelry piece is not from a proposal, but is rather a new ring she bought herself.
“Why should guys have all the fun? This is my divorce ring — a nine-carat offset pear on a simple gold band — that I designed with my longtime jeweler, Ring Concierge,” she says.
“It’s my way of celebrating the next chapter of my life. Women deserve to buy themselves something fabulous just because, so why not a sick divorce ring?!” the star — who also repurposed her engagement ring from ex Billy Haire into a pinky ring — continues.

Nader first wore the ring on Nov. 24, when she left Dancing with the Stars rehearsals. She and Savchenko, 41, were previously paired on the reality competition series.
The Sports Illustrated model stepped out at the time also wearing a black leather jacket, Bottega Veneta aviator-style sunglasses and thick geometric hoop earrings.

Weeks later, on Dec. 27, Nader wore the bling again as she was photographed out with Savchenko at a restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif.
For that outing, Nader wore a see-through top with a striped skirt and matching striped jacket, as well as other more casual accessories alongside the diamond piece, including a gold “ride or die” ring inside of a horseshoe and another gold band around her pinky finger.
Rumors that Nader and Savchenko were dating first began when they were spotted kissing backstage at DWTS. The duo went on to post cheeky TikTok videos, and they even got matching tattoos.
Nader and Savchenko then split in October, following their elimination from DWTS. A source confirmed the news to PEOPLE at the time, and Nader revealed in an exclusive interview that the breakup stemmed from a text Savchenko sent her ending things.
However, the pair got back together, and Nader spoke about her relationship with Savchenko in an interview with PEOPLE earlier this month. “Listen, he’s such a great person and a great guy and I’ve loved getting to know him and I’m having fun hanging out with him,” she said.
The duo then marked their first Christmas as a couple earlier this week. Savchenko shared an Instagram post that featured photos of himself hiking outdoors with his daughter, as well as a shot of him kissing Nader.
