Brooks Nader and DadTok member Dakota Mortensen’s hangout is the unexpected reality TV crossover of 2025 we didn’t see coming.
The Love Thy Nader star, 28, and Mortensen, 32, were seen having an animated conversation in a Tuesday, November 11, TikTok video shared by Brooks’ sister Grace Ann Nader.
“I’m sensing a MESSY crossover,” Grace Ann, 25, captioned her upload of Brooks resting her hand on Mortensen’s shoulder while they spoke across the room.
At one point, Mortensen briefly touched Brooks’ elbow before smiling mid-conversation. Brooks subsequently popped one foot in the air all while never letting go of her drinkware.
Grace Ann teased the potentially dramatic moment by setting her post to the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives theme song.
While neither Brooks nor Mortensen have detailed their interaction, fans are pointing out that they may both be single. Mortensen has been on the market since late last year when he and Taylor Frankie Paul, who share son Ever, called off their on-off relationship for good as she embarks on a journey as the next Bachelorette.
Brooks, meanwhile, was briefly romantically linked to tennis stars Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner this fall.
“Is this, like, an interrogation? I’m so scared right now,” she joked on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in September about attending the US Open that month. “Well, ask Stephen [Colbert] what match we were at. I don’t think [Jannik] was playing in that one.”
Days later, Grace Ann told E! News that Alcaraz, 22, was her sister’s “man of the hour.”
While Brooks never addressed whether she had been involved with Alcaraz, she has been outspoken about casually dating after her springtime split from her Dancing With the Stars season 33 partner, Gleb Savchenko.
“It’s changing every day,” Grace Ann revealed of Brooks’ “roster” on a joint “Viall Files” appearance in August. “We’re spanning quite a few [sports]. I won’t say categories, but I will say we’re dipping more into, like, the country club sports now. We’re getting off the field.”
Brooks, who was previously married to Billy Haire from 2019 to 2024, told Us Weekly about her single status in a cover story that same month.
“[I’m] loving it. I’ve never gotten to do this my whole life, so I love it,” Brooks exclusively told Us in August. “I’m looking for someone that’s really funny and entertaining, not boring. That’s my numero uno — and just someone that gets along with my family, loves life, loves to travel and have fun, and is hard working and not lazy.”
As for Mortensen, he has remained quiet about his love life since his messy split from Paul, 31, who is currently filming the next season of The Bachelorette.
“I have not confirmed it with him. It’s just not something that’s been on, like, my priority list to confirm with him,” Taylor, who shares two children with ex-husband Tate Paul, told Us in September of whether she informed Mortensen about her new leading role. “I don’t know exactly how he’ll react or feel, but he does know that we opened the gates of dating other people. [He’ll] probably [be] sad.”
She added, “I assume that it’s like, ‘Whoa, she’s gonna be dating people, a lot, and then also, in front of me,’ and that’s probably gonna be kind of hard to watch.”
