Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz caught in icy red carpet exchange

Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have been caught in a tense red carpet exchange, causing fans to wonder if trouble is brewing in paradise.

Video has emerged of the star couple attending the Deauville American Film Festival in France on Sept. 8, but it wasn’t their designer outfits that had people talking.

After the pair were seen kissing and embracing on the red carpet, Beckham, 27, made his way to the side to give his actress wife a moment alone in the spotlight in support of her “Prima” co-star Faye Dunaway, who received the Icon Award that evening.

Just before he left Peltz’s side, Beckham took it upon himself to fluff the train of her Alberta Ferretti gown, moving it behind Peltz so she could walk unobstructed along the red carpet.

However, this move appeared to irritate the 31-year-old actress as she seemingly glared at Beckham, who by then was standing near the barriers.

Fans on social media were quick to clock Peltz’s reaction and Beckham’s evidential regret.

“Oof she hates him,” one commented on the video, as another wrote, “Wauw her body language truly tells enough. They are faking it hard.”

“Ooof that look, he will be running home soon,” commented one, as another wrote, “Oh he knows he is in trouble.”

“His face knew that he was going to get it in the ear later,” yet another user added.

The video has also triggered fears for Beckham who is currently locked in a feud with his parents over the alleged treatment of his wife, who he married in a lavish ceremony in 2022 at her billionaire father Nelson Peltz’s estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

After publicly accusing his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of trying to “hijack” his first dance with Peltz and thus sabotage their relationship altogether, Beckham distanced himself from them and his younger siblings, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

Since the estrangement, Beckham has focused on wife Peltz for the last four years.

Going by their social media activity, Beckham, who is an emerging chef, has happily catered to Peltz’s every whim, often following her from one movie set to another — and fans are now wondering if he is her husband or employee.

“Something about this little video tells me she’s a little bit tired of him. Maybe Brooklyn is very overprotective of her and suffocates her actually. He’s her yes man instead of her husband,” one X user observed, as another wondered, “Is he an employee now. Standing to the side lol.”

“Demoted to her stylist and doing a terrible job of that as well,” another tweeted, with one adding, “Is he her butler now?”

But there were some users on social media who thought that Beckham fawning over his wife at the film festival was rather endearing.

“I thought it was sweet,” one fan tweeted as another simply laughed it off as a “typical husband move.”
