Bronwyn Newportâs dress for the upcoming Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion show is going to look very familiar to fashion fans.
The reality TV star, who just wrapped her first season as a Housewife, shared on Instagram on Jan. 9 that her look for the reunion show used to belong to Karlie Kloss. Itâs not just any dress from Klossâ closet, though, itâs one of the modelâs former Met Gala dresses.
Newport was actually able to get Klossâ Carolina Herrera dress from the 2021 Met Gala for the show â but she didnât just borrow it, she bought it.
âThe reunion is coming! So grateful to @wesgordon and @carolinaherrera for taking Karlie Klossâ actual Met Gala dress out of their archive and tailoring and selling to me for both this big day and my own collection,â Newport wrote on Instagram. âThe dress on the Met Gala carpet was meant to symbolize Americaâs flower, the rose at the In America: A Lexicon of Fashion event. For me, it was a symbol of my hope for blossoming friendships in future after watching myself throughout the season, as long as we can all get past each otherâs thorns! I also wanted to bookend my first season the way I started it⊠in big red shoulders!â

She shared a few photos of herself getting fitted for the dress and having it tailored to fit her properly so she could add it to her closet and wear it for the season 5 reunion.
Much like Kloss, Newport, 39, carried a rosette-adorned clutch with the look, but she paired her dress with red strappy heels, whereas the model wore black for fashionâs biggest night.
Kloss wore the red gown for the 2021 event, designed by Wes Gordon, the creative director of Carolina Herrera. The theme that year was In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, and it was all about celebrating America. The dress code was âAmerican Independence.â

It shouldnât come as a surprise that Newport actually purchased the designer gown for the reunion show. Christian Siriano revealed in October last year that the Housewife is the only one in his experience who is willing to actually spend âreal money.â He even called her his âNo. 1 customer.â
The confession, which was on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen was prompted when host Andy Cohen asked the designer if heâd ever dressed a Housewife. âI mean ever? Maybe. But listen, theyâre not on my list because one, they donât pay,â Siriano admitted, which came as a shock to the audience, as heâs known for outfitting the whoâs-who of Hollywood. âThey donât!â he confirmed.Â
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City finale airs on Wednesday, January 15, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
