Bridget Fonda was glowing in her latest public appearance in Los Angeles, which saw her step out in a colorful cardigan that showcased her unique style. The 62-year-old looked incredible in a pair of black trousers, a green tee, a brown collared shirt and a bright cardigan over the top.Â
The cardigan, which featured blue, yellow, red and green sections, also had a car design stitched onto the front. Bridget accessorized the outfit with black sneakers and a navy cross-body bag, and wore her gray locks in an updo.Â
Bridgetâs outing on Tuesday marked her first appearance since December and saw the mom of one looking slimmer than ever amid her weight loss journey. She has lost approximately 100 lbs in the past year, and has been spotted on numerous occasions running errands around LA while showcasing her athletic figure.Â
Bridget rose to fame in the â80s and â90s, and is best known for her roles in The Godfather Part III, Single White Female, Scandal, Jackie Brown, Point of No Return and A Simple Plan. The star was nominated twice for a Golden Globe, and once for an Emmy, and was often compared to her famous grandfather, actor Henry Fonda.Â
âShe acts in the great tradition of her grandfather, which is less is more,â said Barbet Schroeder, the director of Single White Female, to The New York Times. âIâve never known any actor, except maybe Jeremy Irons, who knows so much, whoâs such a total pro.âÂ
Bridgetâs father, Peter Fonda, also shared his admiration for his daughter and her work ethic. âTo my father, acting was everything. It was escape; it was therapy,â he told the publication.Â
âBridget isnât like that. Itâs not compulsive; itâs not out of fear. With her, itâs basically about packing in as many good films as she can, while she can. She just knows what she wants.âÂ
Bridget was Peterâs eldest child, whom he welcomed with Susan Brewer in 1964, before their son, Justin, came along in 1966. When the couple split in 1972, Bridget and Justin lived with their mother and saw their father when they could.Â
Although her parentsâ divorce created an âabandonment thingâ for her, she got âalong with [Peter] really wellâ in her adulthood and remained close to him until his death in August 2019.Â
âI grew up around adults who were imaginative and spontaneous, sure, and it was fantastic to go on that rideâŠAnd my dad would chase me round the tennis court on roller-skates,â she told The Guardian in 2000.Â
âI mean, my dad may have been a hippy biker in the public mind, but he was always a classy, well-turned-out hippy.â Bridget retired from acting altogether in 2002, with her final credit being the TV movie Snow Queen release in the same year.Â
She then welcomed her son, Oliver, in 2005 with her husband, Danny Elfman. When asked in 2023 if she would ever consider returning to acting, she simply replied: âNo. I donât think so, itâs too nice being a civilian.â
