Brianna âChickenfryâ LaPaglia is weighing in on ex-boyfriend Zach Bryanâs response, or lack thereof, to her claims that he was emotionally abusive throughout their year-long relationship.
LaPaglia, 25, revealed alleged details of their tumultuous time together in an episode of her BFFs podcast that aired on Nov. 7. And while Bryan, 28, has not commented on their romance since announcing their breakup on Oct. 22, he has remained active on Instagram.
âThe response itself, the silence, is deafening,â LaPaglia said on a new episode of BFFs that aired Nov. 13. âI think his response proves his character again. It just kind of proves everything I said in the last episode, and it is a little frustrating.â
The âSomething in the Orangeâ singer has posted frequently on his Instagram Stories over the last week, sharing screenshots of songs heâs listening to, videos of his pets and photos of family members, including his sister MacKenzie.
Heâs also been promoting a series of three stadium concerts he recently announced that will take place in July 2025 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, with Kings of Leon also on the bill. The same night the first podcast dropped, he released two new songs, titled âHigh Roadâ and âThis Worldâs a Giant.â
PEOPLE reached out to a rep for Bryan, who has not commented on the allegations.
âI took the high road. I didnât share the whole story, and me taking the high road wasnât out of stupidity or protection, it was me throwing him a bone,â LaPaglia said. âI donât believe people are lost causes. It was my final cry [for] help to try to get him to see what he does to people and try to get him to get help.â
She continued, âI obviously think heâs not responding because if he is to respond, he has to deny it. And if he denies it, then Iâm full story, then I post all the videos and recordings.â
The Plan Bri Uncut podcast host previously claimed sheâd refused Bryanâs offer of $12 million to sign an NDA that would keep her from speaking about the relationship publicly. She said on the most recent BFFs podcast that she feels as though she made the right decision, and that the response from other women has been âoverwhelming.â
âThe last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude,â LaPaglia said, referring to Bryan. âIâm still scared right now because Iâm scared of him,â she continued. âMy brainâs rewired and Iâm scared to make him mad and last week, I didnât want to talk about it âcause I was scared.â
