For Brenda Song, working with Kate Hudson was the suite life.
As the Suite Life of Zack and Cody alum returned to the screen for Running Point—which hits Netflix Feb. 27—after welcoming her and Macaulay Culkin’s two sons Dakota, 3, and Carson, 2, her costar proved to be a vital source of support.
“Kate always says, ‘Don’t get lost in being a mom, you still have to be you’” Brenda explained to E! News in an exclusive interview at the Los Angeles premiere of Running Point Feb. 13. “And she always pushes that with me. I’m so grateful because it’s something that we forget.”
And while the 36-year-old has pursued other projects since becoming a mom including The Last Showgirl, she detailed that Kate—who shares 21-year-old son Ryder with ex Chris Robinson, 13-year-old son Bingham with ex Matt Belamy and 6-year-old Rani with fiancé Danny Fujikawa—became one of her biggest supporters after joining Running Point.
“We’re working so hard to like focusing on our kids,” Brenda continued. “You feel so much mom guilt when you take a second for yourself. And it’s like, you know what? To be the best mom, we have to be the best version of ourselves.”
