Brandon Sklenar stepped out after the Oscars wearing a pin that appeared identical to one previously worn by his It Ends with Us costar and director, Justin Baldoni, six months earlier.
Sklenar, 34, sported the floral pin at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday, March 2, the blush-pink accessory popping alongside his dark look: a black Thom Sweeney suit and undershirt. He also accessorized with a gold ring from David Yurman. (The brand did not design the pin.)
Sharing a photo of the look on Instagram days later on March 4, the 1923 actor also called additional attention to the accessory in his caption, writing, “long live the ( brooch ).”
A rep for Sklenar did not immediately reply to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Baldoni, meanwhile, wore the dusty rose brooch at the New York City premiere of It Ends with Us last summer. At the Aug. 6, 2024, event, the actor-director, 41, complemented his pale pink suit — and its gold buttons — with the floral pin in an apparent nod to the film’s floral motifs.
The brooch’s recent appearance on Sklenar prompts questions about where his current allyship lies amid Baldoni’s ongoing legal battle with their It Ends with Us costar Blake Lively. (Sklenar and Baldoni played Lively’s character’s love interests Atlas and Ryle, respectively, in It Ends with Us.)
Speaking about the stars’ drama at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday, Sklenar did not share an allegiance, instead calling it a “tough situation.”
After The Hollywood Reporter asked Sklenar how he is “hoping to support” Lively, 37, “during this time,” the star said, “I mean, I just… It’s a tough situation. I just hope everyone remembers what the movie is about and why we made it in the first place.”
“It’s about love,” he continued. “It’s about supporting women in general and helping people through tough times.”
Sklenar also told the outlet that the adaptation of the Colleen Hoover novel has “helped so many people.”
“I just want people to remember what it’s about, why we made it, and to kinda keep it on that,” he told THR. “That kind of, like, core ethos, you know what I mean?”

Lively sued Baldoni in December, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, which Baldoni denies. He countersued Lively in January, accusing her and others of defamation and extortion.
Sklenar has been openly supportive of Lively amid the costars’ headline-making legal battle.
In December, he shared a link to her court filing at the time and told his Instagram followers, “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ THIS.” He also tagged Lively in the post alongside a heart emoji.
Last month, he expressed a more neutral stance on CBS Mornings. While appearing on the show on Feb. 17, co-host Gayle King directly asked Sklenar whether he is “Team Blake or Team Justin.”
His response? “I’m Team It Ends with Us.”
