Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid Reveal What Makes Them Most Confident on Rare Public NYC Date

Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid shared their top tips for being confident while being spotted on a rare public date.

The couple were seen out and about together in New York City when they were approached by content creator David Carmi for a TikTok post shared on Wednesday, December 3. The influencer asked Hadid, 30, and Cooper, 50, to participate in his “What Makes You Confident” video series and they obliged after the model recognized Carmi from social media.

After Carmi, 26, asked the A-listers what makes them feel confident, Hadid replied, “finding joy.” Cooper, for his part, said “being alive” was the secret to feeling good about yourself.

Carmi then asked if the pair had any tips for people who were struggling to feel self-assured.

“Take it day by day,” Hadid advised.

Cooper and Hadid have been romantically linked since 2023. The couple have kept their relationship relatively low-key over the years, rarely speak publicly about their romance.

For her 30th birthday in May, Hadid made their relationship Instagram official by referencing the Silver Linings Playbook actor as she posted about her celebrations.

Hadid shared a carousel of photos from her birthday event, including one featuring her kissing Cooper in front of a three-tiered chocolate cake. In the image, Hadid is affectionate towards Cooper, cupping the actor’s face with her hands.

“I feel so lucky to be 30,” Hadid captioned the post at the time. “I feel so lucky for every high and low — for all the lessons and gifts both have brought me. To get to feel it all! I’m so lucky to be a mom, friend, partner, sister, daughter, colleague to some of the most unbelievable humans!!”

Hadid also made a rare comment about dating Cooper when speaking to Vogue for her April cover story.

“Bradley has opened me up to go to the theater more, and that’s something that’s so nice to bring back into my life,” she told the outlet at the time.

Hadid, who met Cooper at a mutual friend’s backyard birthday party for the friend’s child, noted she valued the low-key way they first crossed paths.

“You want to give yourself a normal experience of dating,” she added. “Even for my friends who aren’t public figures, that’s hard. Where do you go? And, what? You just start talking to people? And then there’s another added layer of privacy and security. You want to believe that people are going to have your back and not call TMZ or go on Deuxmoi or whatever, but you just don’t know.”

Hadid went on to describe her relationship with Cooper as “very romantic and happy” but explained they don’t speak about their life together much because “it’s just not part of our relationship to share for whatever reason.”

In December 2024, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the couple were “the real deal” and added that their personalities are very compatible.

“Bradley and Gigi have very calm temperaments and are very understanding; it’s why they mesh so well,” the insider told Us.

Hadid shares daughter Khai Malik, born September 2020, with singer Zayn Malik. She dated the former One Direction star on and off from 2015 to 2021. Cooper is a dad to daughter Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper, born March 2017, whom he shares with his ex Irina Shayk.
