The newlywed life definitely suits Dua Lipa and Callum Turner!
Dua, 31, and Callum, 36, first started dating in early 2024. They went public with the romance in July 2024, and less than two years later, theyâre married!
The couple first were pictured after tying the knot at a private and intimate ceremony in London, and then officially celebrated with all their family and friends with a three-day affair in Palermo, Sicily.
Inside Dua Lipa and Callum Turnerâs wedding
âOur wedding day was such a beautiful celebration,â Dua told Vogue Italia in her first interview since the nuptials, explaining in particular also the sets of advice that she and Callum received from people in the lead-up to the big day.
âPeople gave us lots of advice, but there were two suggestions that we really took on board,â she noted. âOne was to show up at our wedding like we were guests ourselves, which meant we had the best time and we werenât stressed at all.â
âThe other was for Callum and me to keep checking in with each other so we didnât lose each other in the crowd. As a result, we spent loads of time together and created so many amazing memories.â
Why Dua and Callum chose Sicily for their wedding celebration
The âDonât Start Nowâ singer also shared that she considers Italy her âline of piece,â so to speak, and wanted to have the wedding there not only because both she and Callum enjoy the country, but also have many friends who are Italian.
âMy astrologist also specializes in astrocartography,â she noted, a practice in which a personâs birth chart is used to determine how their âenergiesâ shift depending on where they are. âIt felt like a kind of confirmation to learn that Italy is my most peaceful place to be.â
Italian style is also one that Dua cites as a major influence. âI love Naples, and I love Italian style. Legendary icons like Mina and Raffaella CarrĂ have been hugely inspirational for me,â she gushed.
Dua and Callumâs Italian honeymoon
The Grammy-winning singer also shared some insight into her social media posting strategy, especially after her and the Eternity actorâs honeymoon photos off the Italian coast after their wedding led many fans to declare them âcouple goals.â
âItâs very easy for me to decide what to share on social media and what Iâd rather keep for myself,â she explained, although added that she still deals with what she calls âposting anxietyâ when resurfacing on the platform after time off.
âIf I donât post anything for a few days, I sometimes get posting anxiety when Iâm about to post something,â Dua continued. âBut in the end I just pick the photos I like best and post them without overthinking. Then I log off and forget about it.â
Although, at the end of the day, Dua couldnât help but gush: âI feel at home wherever my husband is.â
