Demi Lovato gave her fans a cheeky view of her 34th birthday celebrations in the Bahamas.
The âCool for the Summerâ singer marked her special day on August 20 but shared a carousel of photos from the trip on Monday.
Demi appeared to spend most of her time at the beach and looked incredible in a tiny red string bikini.
One eye-catching photo featured a close-up of Demiâs sand-covered derriĂšre while she gazed out over the crystal-clear water.
Another image showed the birthday girl standing in the water with her arms stretched above her head, showcasing her tiny waist and toned stomach after she lost a reported 50lbs in the past four years.
Several other photos showed Demi rocking a variety of swimwear, including a black-and-white two-piece and a tropical print bathing suit.
âSomeoneâs gotta hold it down in the Bahamas,â she captioned the post, which was met with praise by her followers who labeled her âbeautifulâ and âgorgeous.â
One person missing from her birthday trip was her husband, Jordan âJutesâ Lutes, who is currently on tour.
He did give her a shout-out on social media last Thursday, however, writing: ââHappy birthday to the hottest, funniest, sweetest, most talented human alive⊠not to mention the best dog momma to ever do it.
âApparently 99 percent of my camera roll is [you] with the babies. I hope [you] have the best [birthday, you] deserve the world. I love [you] more than [you] will ever know!â
Inside Demiâs weight loss
Demi has sparked speculation that she may have turned to Ozempic to aid her weight loss journey, but she has not commented on the rumors.
In March 2021, she said on Instagram that she âaccidentally lost weight,â and doesnât âcount calories,â âover exercise,â or ârestrict or purgeâ as she continues to recover from bulimia, adding: âAnd I especially donât live my life according to the diet culture.â
Demi is following a treatment plan to help her accept her body after revealing in 2024 that she had been in recovery from her eating disorder for âgoing on sixâ years.
âI have a treatment team that I work with that helps me stay in recovery, and Iâve been in recovery from bulimia for about five, going on six, years now,â she told Penn Badgley during an appearance on his podcast Podcrushed.
âIâm trying to learn body acceptance rather than body positivity, because body positivity feels like I canât even reach that yet. I have to work on body acceptance, body neutrality because that feels like a goal I can reach.â
She continued: âAnd so some days I just work on, and I do this with my treatment team, I have a nutritionist and a therapist that specializes in eating disorders.
âAnd I just work with them. We come up with tools⊠we do sessions on body image, and they provide me with a ton of insight.
âThe main thing that Iâm working on is just body acceptance, and just looking in the mirror and being like, âThis body is strong.â Very basic, elementary affirmations.
âBut like, âThis body saved my life and fought for my life when I overdosed.â âThis body is a miracle,'â she added. âThatâs what I have to focus on, because loving my body and having full acceptance over it⊠it feels too far away right now.â
