Beyoncé’s stunned reaction at the 2025 Grammys became an instant meme.
The hitmaker, 43, couldn’t believe it when Taylor Swift announced “Cowboy Carter” had won best country album at the awards show Sunday night.
Beyoncé arrived at the event only moments before her name was called, catching the superstar off guard.
Clad in a gold Schiaparelli Haute Couture paisley dress with some Western flare, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer hilariously froze in place and looked around the room in shock.
Fans quickly used the funny moment to share their own relatable moments of surprise.
“Me every single day of 2025 so far,” one X user wrote, to which another echoed, “Me when something good actually happens in 2025.”
“Me when i try to act that im shocked,” a third joked alongside the clip.
Others related the moment back to Swift, writing, “me when i remember taylor swift could release rep or debut tv at a moment’s notice,” referring to the highly anticipated “Taylor’s Version” editions of her albums.
“me when taylor picked up her phone at NOLA n2 and called sabrina,” another added, referencing the time Swift called Sabrina Carpenter to join her onstage at an Eras Tour concert in New Orleans.
Despite the initial shock, the “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” singer quickly composed herself as she stepped onstage at Crypto.com Arena.
“I’d like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this album. We worked so hard on it,” she began.
“I think sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists, and I just want to encourage people to do what they’re passionate about and to stay persistent.”
Beyoncé, who is the most decorated Grammy artist of all time with 34 career wins, concluded the speech by thanking her “beautiful” family, collaborators, God and fans.
“This wouldn’t have been this album without you. …. I still am in shock, so thank you so much for this honor,” she said.
The “Lemonade” artist had already won one award before even stepping foot in the venue. Earlier in the day, she took home best country duo/group performance for “II Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus.
“Cowboy Carter” was also nominated for album of the year.
