Benny Blanco knows the way to his fiancée Selena Gomez’s heart — and her stomach.
On Friday, Nov. 14, the music producer, 36, shared a video to Instagram that featured a special food-related surprise for Gomez, 32 — Blanco filled her bathtub with queso cheese.
In the video, which was set to the couple’s new single “Scared of Loving You,” the musician filmed the scene he had set up as a surprise, which included a trail of tortilla chips leading to Gomez’s bathroom. Another pile of tortilla chips in the bathroom were laid out to say, “I heart you.”
Blanco then panned his camera over to the white porcelain bathtub, which was filled with queso dip and had another bowl of chips sitting on a stool nearby.
The producer filmed himself grabbing a chip from the bowl, dipping it into the tub and taking a bite of the cheese.
“When your [fiancée] isn’t much of a flowers girl,” he captioned the video.
Valentine’s Day for the couple comes just one day after they announced their collaboration for Gomez’s new album, I Said I Love You First. The first single from Gomez’s fourth studio album is titled “Scared of Loving You,” and dropped on Thursday, Feb. 13, alongside a visual lyric video.
The album, which is set for release on Friday, March 21, is Gomez and Blanco’s first project together as a couple. In her Instagram announcement, the Only Murders in the Building star wrote: “I always trick you guys 🥰. my NEW album I Said I Love You First with my best friend @itsbennyblanco, is out on 3/21 🖤.”
The actress continued: “Our first song, ‘Scared of Loving You,’ is out now on all streaming platforms. Merchandise and signed products for the album are available for pre-order now. We can’t wait to share this special project with you soon!”
Blanco then sweetly replied in the comment section, adding: “I love you baby.”
The upcoming album will celebrate Gomez and Blanco’s love story and gives “fans a unique window into their relationship,” per a press release.
“This album came together organically as a direct result of the comfort that they both felt when working together creatively, allowing them to produce art that authentically reflects their experiences,” read the press release. “It chronicles their entire story—before they met, falling in love and looking to what the future holds.”
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram in December 2024, after dating for over a year.
Food plays a big role in the pair’s relationship, Blanco previously told PEOPLE ahead of his debut cookbook, Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends in April 2024. Blanco said that he “loves to make all the people I’m with happy” — and cooking is how he does it.
“So that goes for everyone: my family, my girlfriend, my friends. I want to create an experience,” he added. “So if you came over to my house and I know you loved peanut butter stuffed dates or something, every time you came, I was going to have that as an option for you. That goes for everyone in my life … I want to create a moment because it shows that you care and you listen and you pay attention.”
