Ben Affleck is sporting a new look.

At CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas, the actor appeared to promote his new movie The Accountant 2. Affleck’s facial hair was noticeably darker than his usual salt-and-pepper beard.

The actor, 52, took the stage alongside castmates Daniella Pineda, Cynthia Addai-Robinson and Jon Bernthal for an Amazon MGM Studios presentation on Wednesday, April 2. He wore a single-breasted navy blue suit with a light blue shirt underneath. Affleck went sans tie, leaving the first few buttons of his shirt undone for a more relaxed look.

His hair, mustache and beard appeared to be a dark shade of brown. Days earlier on Sunday, March 30, the Gone Girl actor was spotted in Los Angeles with slightly lighter hair and gray-speckled facial hair.

In an interview with Extra TV released in November 2024, Affleck and Matt Damon, his producing partners and best friend, revealed that they’re both sporting more scruff these days for their forthcoming Netflix film, RIP

“We’re in the middle of it. That’s why we’re bearded,” said Damon of working on the crime thriller.

“Everything you need to know, you can see right here,” joked Affleck.

The Accountant 2, in theaters April 25, marks Affleck’s first appearance on the big screen since 2023, when he appeared in his own movie Air and portrayed Batman for the final time in The Flash.

A source recently told PEOPLE that the star remains “very passionate about work and excited about upcoming projects” following his divorce from ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.

“He thrives when he’s busy,” the insider added.

In a cover interview for the April issue of GQ, Affleck broke his silence following the split from the actress-singer, 55. The actor opened up about the rumors surrounding the breakup as well as why he chose to be involved in the 2024 documentary about their marriage, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.

“Part of it was, ‘Okay, if I’m going to participate in this, I want to try to do it in an honest way and in a way that’s interesting,'” he explained. “Because I thought it was an interesting examination.”

“And I think it’s important to say that wasn’t the cause of some major fracture,” he added. “It’s not like you can watch that documentary and go, ‘Oh, now I understand the issues that these two had.'”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Affleck said he “[doesn’t mind]” talking about his “personal life a little … as long as my actual feelings and intentions and beliefs are communicated, which I hope I was clear that really [Lopez] is somebody I have a lot of respect for.”

Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance in 2021 after previously getting engaged in 2002 and ending their relationship in 2003. They married in 2022 in two separate ceremonies — one in Las Vegas and one in Georgia. Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024 and the divorce was finalized in January.
