Below Deck Med alum Malia White revealed she secretly gave birth to her and partner Robert’s first baby after keeping her pregnancy a secret.
“How it started vs. how it’s going,” White, 35, captioned an Instagram post on Friday, February 6, with several photos throughout her pregnancy. The final photo showed a glimpse at White and Robert’s daughter.
White previously took to Instagram earlier this month to share photos from the end of 2025, writing, “Finally posting Sweden & a few end of 2025 bits.” The social media post showed highlights from White’s life — including a photo where the former reality TV star was seen subtly showing off a baby bump.
In the photo, White is cradling her stomach while posing in front of a sign that read, “She is future you.” White received an outpouring of excitement from her loved ones in the comment section of her announcement post.
“Omg subtle pregnancy announcement, LOVE,” wrote one of White’s friends while someone else added, “Oh my gosh, I had no clue!! Congratulations!!”
White made her debut on Below Deck Med in 2017 when she joined the deck team. She got caught up in a love triangle with Wesley Walton and Adam Glick before taking a break from reality TV. White returned to the franchise three years later as a bosun and made headlines for her involvement in Hannah Ferrier‘s exit.
Bravo viewers also saw White on season 3 of Winter House in 2023 after she previously gave Us insight into her post-Below Deck plans.
“I do want to be a captain. But I also want to put roots down,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2021. “Not [in] the sense that I want to have a family. But I do want to have a house that I can come home to and a life somewhere. I think I’m just attracted to traveling and for now not really having solid plans.”
While White has been linked to Tom Checketts and Jake Baker in the past, she went public with Robert in 2024. White has since largely kept their romance out of the public eye but has made rare posts gushing about Robert.
“I felt loss but found love,” she wrote via Instagram in 2024 alongside a photo of her and Robert.
White isn’t the only Below Deck alum to announce a pregnancy after their time on the show. Hannah Ferrier welcomed her daughter with husband Josh Roberts in 2020 while Below Deck‘s Kate Chastain announced son Sullivan’s arrival in May 2023. Below Deck Adventure‘s Faye Clarke welcomed her first child in January 2024 and Chef Dave White’s wife announced her pregnancy later that year.
Most recently, Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher expanded their family. Their dynamic as a family of three will presumably be the focus in the next season of Below Deck Med.
“With Gael, it just happened insanely fast. We connected and we grew a very, very strong bond. As time went on, we were just going with the flow,” Gallagher explained to Us in July 2024. “I was going with the flow. I didn’t want to put too much pressure on her. I didn’t want to set us up to hook up in certain areas or certain times. It was more of what was happening in the moment.”
