Bronwyn Newport is, in her own words, ânot known for subtlety.â
Since her debut on season 5 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Newport, 39, has been making a splash with her over-the-top wardrobe. And her style IQ has proven to be the most impressive of âdare we say it â any Housewife.
Which is why, on Sunday, Feb. 23, Newport attended the 2025 SAG Awards as a red carpet fashion correspondent for PEOPLE and Entertainment Weeklyâs pre-show livestream. As the go-to girl for commentary on the best celebrity fashion moments of the night, Newport dressed to impress in a bold ensemble with some rich fashion history.
âI wanted to channel old Hollywood stars as I was getting to interview Hollywood stars! I wore a 1968 Dior Haute Couture vintage dress originally created for one of the most successful figures in Latin American cinema, actress and style icon Maria Felix,â Newport tells PEOPLE exclusively of the $30,000 feathery showgirl gown she bought for the special occasion.
See how the Bravo star got glam for all the red carpet action.
Mirror, Mirror
Before arriving at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles for her reporting duties, Newport carved out some time for a little self-care moment â but not without some cute pajamas from her collaboration with Bead Head PJs!
Bronwynâs Signature Bob
Hairstylist Becca Mader styled Newportâs bob in a voluminous 1960s-inspired look to complement the retro dress.
Feeling Feathery and Fashionable
âI found the dress through Timeless Vixen, an iconic L.A. store that specializes in vintage, haute couture and museum-quality pieces. I picked it up just before the awards show after searching for a piece of this caliber and historical importance since the beginnings of my discussions to come on as PEOPLEâs Fashion Expert!â Newport shares of the âpricelessâ find.
She accessorized with vintage â80s Tiffany & Co. earrings (to lean into the opulence of the look) and a $7,295 Judith Leiber clutch shaped like a roller skate to hold her lip gloss, her âemotional supportâ hair tie and a âProtect Trans Youthâ pin she got on the carpet.
360 Glam Shot
Newportâs bronzed, sun-kissed complexion with a hint of sparkle was courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Troy Jensen. The two got down to business with glam before the show.
Smiles for the SAGs
âThe look is so âBronwynâ because I am not known for my subtlety! I love color, texture and whimsy! I also love a good rewear and was honored to be in such a major moment of fashion history,â she says. âTo own a dress of a Hollywood and sartorial legend and get to wear it on the SAG red carpet is so unbelievably special.â
Ready to Glow
No red carpet appearance is without a couple of touch-ups. Here, Jensen makes sure Newportâs glam is completely on point.
