Armie Hammer Details Attempt at Hookup With a Man

Armie Hammer is getting real.

The Call Me By Your Name star recently revealed that he once experimented with hooking up with a man—though it didn’t end in an Oliver and Elio-inspired romance like in his film, in which he costarred alongside Timothée Chalamet.

“I tried hooking up with a dude one time,” Armie said on The Armie HammerTime Podcast. “Handsome, French, you know, the whole thing. I was like, ‘Okay, this could work. Yeah, let’s try this.’”

The 38-year-old then detailed the elements of the experience that caught him by surprise.

“I started making out with him,” he remembered, “and I just remember being like, ‘God, beards! This thing is f–king rough. Like, how do I get in there?’”

Armie continued, “I remember I put my arms around him and I was like, ‘Oh my god and these shoulders are so wide. He’s so big.’”

But as the rendezvous continued, the Death on the Nile actor realized it wasn’t quite doing the trick.
