Ariana Grande Brings Glinda the Good Witch to 2025 SAG Awards in Optical Illusion Gown Made of Feather Flowers

Ariana Grande looks magical on the red carpet.

The Wicked star earned a nomination at the 2025 SAG Awards for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role, and she conjured an enchanting look for the occasion.  

Grande wore a custom light pink Loewe gown for the occasion. The strapless corset dress was made with a floral bodice, and each flower was crafted out of feathers making for an optical illusion all down the dress, as seen in a video shared by Town and Country. The flowers tumbled down the skirt, which draped into a train behind her.

Grande wore her hair pulled back into a ponytail and accessorized with dazzling Jared Atelier jewels.

For her work as Glinda in the blockbuster film, Grande is nominated at this year’s ceremony alongside Monica Barbaro for A Complete Unknown, Jamie Lee Curtis for The Last Showgirl, Danielle Deadwyler for The Piano Lesson and Zoe Saldaña for Emilia Pérez. 

Costars Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey also scored solo nominations for Wicked. The musical movie is competing for the SAG Award in outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture and outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble in a motion picture. 

While Grande was up for supporting actress at three past award shows this season, she is yet to win in the category. Zoe Saldaña, who stars in Emilia Pérez, took home the trophy at the BAFTAS, Critics Choice Awards and Golden Globes this year.

Following the SAG Awards, Grande looks ahead to the Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2. She earned her first Oscar nomination as Best Supporting Actress for Wicked and wrote in an Instagram post reacting to her nomination that she “cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise.” 

Her category includes fellow SAG Awards nominees Barbaro and Saldaña, as well as Felicity Jones (The Brutalist) and Isabella Rossellini (Conclave). In total, Wicked received 10 Oscar nominations, tied for second most this year with The Brutalist.

With a busy awards season, Grande has already been scoring in the style department with signature Glinda-fied looks. 

Inspired by Glinda’s bubble, she wore a strapless metallic gown to accept the rising star award from Jennifer Coolidge at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Jan. 3. Then, Grande stepped onto the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet in a pale yellow dress as an homage to “one of Glinda’s favorite colors” and the “yellow brick road” on Jan. 5. 

She stayed committed to the character at the 2025 BAFTAs on Feb. 16, where she wore another one of Glinda’s classic colors in a poufy pink and black gown from Louis Vuitton. 

Grande also channeled the Good Witch at the Critics Choice Awards on Feb. 8, wearing a cage dress covered in floral appliqués and a fringe hem. She completed the look with boyfriend and Wicked castmate Ethan Slater by her side. 

Though Slater and Grande chatted and got close during the show, they didn’t seem as blissful when the camera panned to them during Chelsea Handler’s monologue. 

While reflecting on the career trajectories of many child stars, including Grande, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, the award show host joked, “And now, Ariana has even found love with a munchkin! That’s good news, everybody!”

The pair have been loved up recently, as Slater showed his support for Grande’s Oscar nomination. He shared a rare photo of Grande on Instagram, where she was looking out of a balcony window in London while holding several pink balloons.
