Anya Taylor-Joy looked breathtaking as she appeared on Seth Meyers’ late-night show on Thursday evening, wearing a beautiful satin creation by Victoria Beckham’s eponymous brand.
Looking like a stylish vision in the simple yet tailored style, the minimalist dress had a floaty, almost ethereal hem that fanned out elegantly as she walked.
Promoting her new project, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the actress, who voices Princess Peach, wore her famous platinum blonde mane loose and flowing, and minimal makeup highlighted her pretty features.
Anya, 29, is known for her winning fashion sense, but she hasn’t always been confident with clothes. “Fashion began as a means of feeling comfortable,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2024.
“The actual experience of a red carpet was so anxiety-inducing for me. I found that if I was making it about something more artful, then I just turned off a part of my brain that usually would be afraid, and that made me excited about it instead. It really does feel like a kind of armour,” she mused.
Victoria’s fashion label
Anya tends to opt for designer creations when taking part in public appearances, hence her Victoria Beckham choice.
Victoria’s net worth is estimated to be around £70 million, largely thanks to her fashion brand. Her designs have graced the steps of the Met Gala, been worn by some of Hollywood’s most influential actresses, and, in 2017, won her an OBE for contributions to the fashion industry, presented by Prince William.
It hasn’t always been plain sailing, though. Despite strong brand recognition and numerous celebrity fans, Victoria’s luxury label has struggled to turn a profit over the years, and losses were £12.5 million in 2018, ballooning to £16.6 million in 2019. The pandemic only exacerbated these financial woes, with supply chain issues and declining luxury spending cementing the brand’s struggles.
As discussed in her 2025 Netflix documentary, fashion industry veteran Ralph Toledano was brought on board as chairman in 2018, which helped turn things around. Victoria is now widely regarded as a fashion designer in her own right, and no longer defined by her pop star past, consistently evolving the label, from moving into makeup with her Victoria Beckham Beauty line, to showing her collections at fashion week, year after year.
