A house full of friendly exes.
Christina Hall’s second ex-husband, Ant Anstead, teased her for flirting with her first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, in front of his current wife, Heather Rae Young.
During Wednesday’s episode of “The Flip Off,” Anstead sat down with the three designers to judge which of their houses he preferred as Hall competed against El Moussa and Young in a flip-off.
When Hall got up to get a glass of water for Anstead, El Moussa playfully told her, “Oh good, you got me a water. Oh, wow!”
“No, not for you,” Hall, 41, quipped to El Moussa, 43. “You can get your own water. So, were you bothering him [Anstead] or what?”
El Moussa denied the claim and bluntly told Hall, “Your presence just being around him is bothering him, look!”
“No, he’s fine,” Hall said of Anstead, 45.
Young, 37, then chimed in and switched the conversation to focus on Anstead and Hall instead. She asked about their “situation,” to which El Moussa quickly replied, “Oh, it’s f–ked.”
“Once you you guys stop flirting with each other, let’s get into it, ’cause we’re here to do a job,” Anstead teased.
Young laughed, while El Moussa jokingly claimed that he was “just an innocent victim” whom Hall “abuses.”
“We are both innocent victims,” Anstead replied.
El Moussa suggested that the two of them — along with Christina’s third estranged husband, Josh Hall — should “start a boy band.”
“Stop flirting,” Anstead reiterated.
All four of them laughed, until Young warned Anstead, “Ant, now you’re really going to be in trouble if you keep using that word.”
Anstead and Hall were married from 2018 to 2020 and share a 5-year-old son, Hudson. Their relationship quickly turned rocky over a heated custody battle, and they were not on good terms until she announced her separation from Josh in July 2024.
“After Josh and I split up, I went over to [Ant’s] house to pick Hudson up,” Hall explained in a confessional during the episode. “And when I walked up to the door, he gave me a huge hug. We hadn’t hugged in years.”
Hall recalled Anstead telling her, “I’m so sorry for everything you’re going through, and I’m here for you no matter what you need.”
“It was a very nice moment, and we had a long talk after,” added Hall. “We decided to put all the BS aside and be good co-parents, like Tarek and I are, for Hudson.”
Anstead also reflected on their situation while judging the homes and admitted that the rocky relationship was “really, really difficult” for him.
“The relationship that we have now is really, really important, and it’s been a transformation as parents,” he said. “It took us four-and-a-half years to get to that point, which is really shameful.”
Hall also shares two children –– daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9 –– with El Moussa. The former couple split in 2018 after nine years of marriage.
El Moussa later married Young in 2021 and welcomed their son Tristan two years later.
Meanwhile, Anstead has been dating actress Renée Zellweger since 2021.
