Anna Kendrick is ready to revisit the Bellas.
Kendrick opened up about potentially returning to the Pitch Perfect universe while speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the Los Angeles premiere of her directorial debut Woman of the Hour on Thursday, Oct. 10.
“Oh, my God, I know I would love that,” the actress and director, 39, says of the prospect of having a Pitch Perfect 4. “And I keep saying, I feel like Rebel [Wilson] is really like the steam engine of everything. So as long as she keeps saying it might happen, I’ll believe it.”
In the musical comedy franchise, Kendrick played the role of Beca, alongside Wilson’s Fat Amy and Brittany Snow’s Chloe Beale. The first film was released in 2012, followed by 2015’s Pitch Perfect 2 and 2017’s Pitch Perfect 3.
Earlier this year, Camp and Wilson shared videos together on social media and teased the potential fourth film, with both subtly teasing they “might be” making another Pitch Perfect.
Kendrick’s new thriller movie serves as a bit of a Pitch Perfect reunion, as it also features her costars Chrissie Fit and Kelley Jakle.
Based on a true story, Woman of the Hour follows Cheryl Bradshaw, who went on The Dating Game in 1978 and was unknowingly matched with serial killer Rodney Alcala. Alcala is often referred to as the Dating Game Killer.

Posing on the red carpet, Kendrick gathered for a group photo with cast members Jakle, Autumn Best, Nicolette Robinson and Kathryn Gallagher at Thursday’s event.
Asked whether making her directorial debut has sunk in, Kendrick tells PEOPLE, “Oh, gosh, that’s a really good question.”

“I think that I had a lot of overwhelming moments, but I probably felt most emotional when we wrapped the movie, and I know that I’ll feel emotional tonight, mostly because this is the first time that I’ve gotten all these people into one room in a long time,” she explains. “I mean, in some cases, they weren’t even in the same room while we were making the movie.”
She adds, “So I’m just absolutely delighted to be reunited with everybody.” Kendrick also says that she hopes to do more directing in the future.
The multi-talented star also spoke about directing while appearing as an actress in Woman of the Hour.
“Directing wasn’t a big problem,” she tells PEOPLE. “There were a couple people that I would sort of turn to and go, ‘Did I stay in the frame? Okay, great.’ I’m happy. And we can move on.”
She continues, “I even remember my editor telling me that he’d never worked with an actor-director, and he wasn’t sure if it was going to get kind of dicey and if I would get defensive about things.”
“But he said to me about four weeks in, he was like, ‘Jesus, you’re like, a real mercenary,’” Kendrick recalls. “Because I think I’m the first to go, ‘Oh that no, that take isn’t right. Like, let’s look around for something else.’ “
