Angelina Jolie’s brother, James Haven, quietly got married over the summer.
The actor and his bride, “The Real L Word” star Romi Imbelli, held a small ceremony on Aug. 12 in Laguna Beach, Calif., with several close family members, including the groom’s father, Jon Voight, in attendance, JustJared reported Wednesday.
Jolie, who infamously kissed Haven on the lips at the 2000 Oscars, was notably absent at the wedding, according to the outlet.
Imbelli, 42, confirmed the news via Instagram Tuesday with a lengthy post about her and 51-year-old Haven’s rocky relationship.
“In 2024, I married my best friend of 23 years,” she captioned a black-and-white photo of the pair smiling at each other on their big day.
“The details of our story are too personal and complicated to share now, but I am writing it all in my book. Our wedding day was intimate, just us and our parents while exchanging vows, with plans to have a larger celebration later.”
Imbelli candidly shared that things quickly went sour for the newlyweds, as they “had a big fight” the day after their nuptials.
“After 5 months of much crying, healing, and reflection, we decided to work through our issues and are now planning a special day with my daughter,” she wrote.
“I feel liberated and ready to return to my husband and our home in LA. Everything that has happened in the last few months was all part of a greater plan, and I trust in God’s timing. I will always hold 2024 deeply in my heart. Life is too short. Go out and live it.”
Imbelli — who was previously married to musician Dusty Ray and chef Charles Imbelli, the latter of whom is the father of her daughter — concluded her post, “Tomorrow is the day my dad was born. He met Jamie 23 years ago. I believe he is watching over us from heaven and smiling down on us. Jamie proposed to me at my dad’s grave. There is no guarantee of tomorrow, so give your all today.”
Romi, who starred on the Showtime reality show from 2010 to 2012 under the name Romi Klinger, also shared a brief clip Wednesday from her and Haven’s wedding day, dedicating the post to her father on his birthday.
“Today, Jamie’s mom is singing for us as they celebrate in heaven together, ” she wrote, referencing Haven and 49-year-old Jolie’s late mother, Marcheline Bertrand.
“We are both learning to accept love from someone, this was a special and private day in these pics. I look forward to celebrating with loved ones in the coming year. Happy New Year.”
