Amy Schumer has sparked a wave of reaction after sharing a revealing swimsuit selfie on Instagram, with fans noting the comedian appears slimmer than ever following a reported 50lb weight loss.
The Trainwreck star posted a candid mirror snap of herself in a deep red one-piece, posing with one hand on her hip as she captured the moment on her phone. Wearing oversized sunglasses and her hair pulled back into a casual bun, Amy kept the look effortless and unfiltered.
Adding her signature humour, she captioned the image: “Thirsty enough for ya?”
But while the playful tone was classic Amy, many fans were quick to focus on her noticeably transformed physique, with followers flooding the comments to praise her confidence and openness.
The actress has been candid about her health journey in recent years, including her experiences with weight loss medications. Back in 2025, during an appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, Amy revealed the genetic condition that influenced her approach.
“I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy,” she explained.
She went on to detail her difficult experience with Ozempic, which she tried several years earlier.
“So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like bedridden,” she said. “I was like, vomiting and then you have no energy. But other people take it and they’re all good. So, God bless them.”
The comedian recalled feeling as though the rapid weight loss came at too high a cost.
“I lost 30 pounds so quick,” Amy said. “I looked great, but I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow. So what’s the point?”
She also admitted she felt like she was “shriveling away” due to the constant nausea.
In contrast, Amy later shared that she had a far better experience with Mounjaro, which ultimately contributed to her current transformation.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, she reflected on her earlier struggles, saying of Ozempic: “I was like puking, I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever.”
The actress has flipped to a new page when it comes to her love and family life. She recently filed for divorce on January 6, from her former partner Chris Fischer. The duo were married for almost eight years, and they share their six-year-old son Gene together.
The entertainer previously shared a candid story for Valentine’s Day in which she gently smiled for a selfie underneath hanging letters that comically read “Crying Corner.”
Amy wrote in the overlaid text: “Give yourself all the love today. Happy V-Day.” In December, she announced on social media: “Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after seven years. We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time.”
