Amanda Bynes denied the wild rumor that disgraced Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider got her pregnant when she was 13.
The âAmanda Showâ alum told TMZ that the viral video of her claiming Schneider impregnated her is digitally altered.
Bynes, now 39, also told the outlet that whoever made the edited clip attempted to make up âlies for clickbait.â
A fan account posted the now-deleted video, which showed a clip of the former Nickelodeon star sitting alone at a restaurant. At the bottom of the clip was the text, âThe man I got pregnant with him [sic] at the age of 13! đ.â
The video then cut to a scene from âThe Amanda Show,â in which a bikini-clad teenage Bynes was in a hot tub with Schneider, now 59, who was fully clothed.
âPLEASE WATCH THIS. Iâm sorry for not making your childhood happy again,â was written atop the video.
Bynes told TMZ that she did post the first part of the fanâs edited video, but she turned the camera to her boyfriend and did not include the jacuzzi scene at all.
Page Six has reached out to Schneider for comment but did not immediately hear back.
In last yearâs âQuiet on the Setâ doc, several former Nickelodeon stars claimed that Schneider allegedly fostered a toxic work environment and tormented and humiliated the cast and crew on his TV sets.
The âiCarlyâ creator denied the allegations but said he owed people a âstrong apologyâ for his âembarrassingâ past actions.
In May 2024, Schneider filed a lawsuit against the documentary producers and creators for implying he sexually abused Nickelodeon child stars.
According to a complaint obtained by Page Six at the time, the former âZoey 101â producer accused Warner Bros. Discovery, Maxine Productions, Sony Pictures Television and more of making the trailer of the five-part docuseries a âhit jobâ against him, full of âfalse statements and implications.â
Nickelodeon cut ties with Schneider in 2018 amid reports he was âunder a cloud of suspicion over the treatment of some younger stars of his shows.â The producer walked away with a $7 million payout.
