Over the weekend, the human rights lawyer was spotted grabbing lunch with her husband, George Clooney, in New York City while wearing a cropped blazer, white T-shirt, and the leg-lengthening denim cut that’s taking Hollywood by storm: flare jeans. 

While I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the flattering pants style since Kelly Clarkson wore a similar version on The Kelly Clarkson Show late last month, Clooney’s outing sealed the deal on why I need to add a pair to my closet ASAP. Not only does the fit-and-flare silhouette offer the best of both worlds, but the roomy flared hems are sure to make NYC commutes all the more breathable — and therefore, bearable — as temperatures continue to rise this spring and summer.
