Paris Jackson’s engagement ring embodies all of her philosophies.

The 26-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson confirmed her engagement to music producer Justin Long last week, posting a series of sweet proposal photos among a birthday tribute to her fiancé and flaunting her new sparkler.

The dazzling diamond is actually a lab-grown stone, keeping true to Jackson’s sustainable spirit.

While it’s portrait cut and lower price point certainly make the diamond an unusual choice, the rock holds some pedigree of note: Jackson tapped lab-grown diamond aficionado Jean Dousset — the great-great-grandson of Louis Cartier himself — for the bling.

“Paris Jackson’s ring follows a rising trend among engagement rings: a lab-grown diamond,” Mike Fried of Diamond Pro tells Page Six Style. “Lab-grown diamonds are man-made but have the same physical, chemical, and visual properties as natural diamonds.”

Fried guessed the rectangular diamond would clock in at around eight carats, with Ajay Anand, CEO of Rare Carat, agreeing.

“While certainly not for everyone, this unique piece looks to be a portrait cut diamond of eight carats, with crystal clear color and clarity set in a blackened bezel setting on a pavé band,” Anand said.

It’s no surprise that Jackson, who has been an outspoken vegan for years, would turn to a lab-grown stone rather than natural diamond. She’s put her name and likeness behind tons of sustainable fashion endeavors, including covering her 80 tattoos with Cover Fx products for the 2024 Grammys earlier this year to promote the vegan brand.

Jackson has also long been a face of Stella McCartney, previously modeling the fashion designer’s mushroom-based alternative leather creations.

It appears that Long customized his own design, however, Jean Dousset offers customers a chance to pair the perfect setting with a hand-picked diamond.

The company’s similar styles include 8-carat stones in an emerald shape for around $20,000, with the pavé setting adding an additional $2,000 — and customizations could send the price higher.

Long and Jackson have been dating for nearly two years, though it’s unclear when exactly the former popped the question. The “Let Down” singer first sparked engagement rumors in September, when she turned up to Nina Ricci’s Paris Fashion Week runway show — in white, no less — wearing the same ring on her left hand.

We’re sure the couple’s wedding will be wildly bohemian — and environmentally friendly.
