“All That” alum Christy Knowings’ cause of death has been revealed to be cardiac arrest.

Knowings died Aug. 11 at 46 years old. The former Nickelodeon star’s death certificate obtained by People Wednesday lists acute hypoxic respiratory failure and status asthmaticus as conditions leading to her death, with asthma being the underlying cause.

Acute hypoxic respiratory failure is a life-threatening condition in which there’s not enough oxygen or too much carbon dioxide in your body, while status asthmaticus is an extreme asthma attack that doesn’t get better with standard treatments, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

One of Knowings’ family members previously told TMZ she died after suffering an asthma attack on Aug. 7 that left her with brain damage. She was hospitalized and placed on life support, but her family ultimately decided to take her off it four days later.

Knowings was a regular on “All That” for three seasons from 1997 to 2000 alongside Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, Kenan Thompson and more.

Thompson paid tribute to his former co-star on Instagram last month, writing, “Man this one hit hard!!! Rest well Christy!!!”

He added, “She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Gonna miss you buddy!!!”

Knowings played various memorable roles on the comedy series, including characters Jessica and Penny Lane. But she shared that her favorite role was playing Gloria Bankhead in Season 6.

“She was an over-the-top Martha Stewart,” Knowings said about the character in a 2019 interview with Bustle. “I had never played any character like her!”

She also praised the diversity among the cast of the groundbreaking children’s sketch comedy show, noting, “I’m from The Bronx and Native American Afro-Latina, so I was able to bring so much to the table.”

Her last TV role was as herself on “Sesame Street” alongside her twin brother, Chris.

Knowings starred in three episodes of the children’s show from 2008 to 2011.
