Adult content creator Bonnie Blue is ready to share her side of the story following her highly publicized Bali arrest.
âI mean, I was definitely nervous,â Blue, 26, exclusively told Us Weekly of her mindset before she was detained. âI wanted to do Bali the previous years, but I was aware of how strict Bali can be, so I avoided it and went to Fiji instead. This year, I went in with more information. I had a lawyer already picked out in case anything went wrong. So I went aware of my risk, but I was happy to take the risk.â
News broke earlier this month that Blue, 26, had been arrested in Bali, where she traveled for âSchooliesâ â an event with Australian high school graduates celebrating the end of the school year. A police statement at the time shared that Blue was taken into custody for allegedly making âcontent containing pornographic or immoral elements.â
Blue told Us she faced two charges. âOne of them was pornographic content, and the other one was related to that,â she explained. She was ultimately charged about $12 related to road violations with her âBangbusâ and received a 6-month ban from Indonesia.

How Long Was Bonnie Blue in Bali Before Her Arrest?
Blue explained that she began âSchooliesâ on November 28 with plans to wrap up the event on December 5. She was arrested one day prior.
âTo be honest, it ended perfectly. If it was day one of Schoolies, Iâd have been like, âOK, this is frustrating. Iâve come here for a purpose, and now Schoolies is happening, and Iâm sat in prison,ââ Blue said. âBut the timing was perfect.â
Was Bonnie Blueâs Footage Deleted After Her Arrest?
Despite being âconcernedâ about her footage being deleted, Blue said she âknewâ to backup âso much of the contentâ â and had âalready sent it off and deleted it off my hard drives and laptops.â
âThere was some content from that day and previous 24 hours that I couldnât remember if I had backed it up or not,â she said. âSo I was thinking, âGosh, thatâs going to be frustrating if I donât get sent to prison and I get out and I donât have the content.â However, no content was deleted. So that was a bonus.â
Bonnie Blue Claims Someone Was âReporting to the Policeâ About Her Whereabouts Before Arrest
Blue claimed that someone had reached out to her before going to Bali and offered to organize lawyers, an Airbnb and âcontactsâ with people âif any trouble did happen.â Blue ultimately paid about $100,000 for the alleged service â but realized when she got to Bali that this person was claiming to have connections with people that she didnât have.
âI was like, âOK, well, hats off to her, because sheâs just took 75,000 pounds from me,ââ Blue recalled. âI mean, from the day I landed, she was reporting to the police, telling them where I was, what I was up to, and it allowed the police a lot easier, I guess, to do their investigation, because he was always aware of my location ahead of me arriving.â
Blue speculated that this individual was conspiring against her âfor the money and to try and gain connections.â
What Happened During Bonnie Blueâs Raid?
Blue claimed that there were about 40 police officers who were âcompletely tipping up, destroying the villaâ during the raid. She also alleged that some were FaceTiming their friends to talk about the raid and were âputting the camera in [her] face.â
âOne of the things, obviously, thatâs been spoken about a lot, is respect, saying I disrespected a country that has very high morals,â Blue shared. âAnd I think if that was really the case, I wouldnât have had police officers shoving a camera in my face and FaceTiming friends and family just to say theyâd arrested me and saying they were going to charge me.â
Blue claimed she was instructed to remove her pants because it was âused for porn,â which she said âwasnât the case.â She alleged that they were âjust trying to humiliate [her] at every point possible.â
âThis point was scary because I was asking for a lawyer, and they were all ignoring me. They were pretending they didnât speak any English,â she alleged.
Bonnie Blue Had to Explain âRage Bait Contentâ With Police Officers
After a few hours of the police officers going through the alleged evidence, Blue shared that she went to the police station and met with her lawyer which was âsomewhat comforting.â Despite the lawyer not speaking âloads of English,â he assured Blue that it would âbe OK.â
âHe said, âDonât worry, youâre going to be out within an hour.â That hour was a very long week in the end,â Blue said. âSo yeah, it was definitely scary at times, but more frustrating than anything, because theyâre honestly stupid and trying to explain to them some of my rage bait content.â
How Long Was Bonnie Blue Questioned After Her Arrest?
Blue explained that she was âquestioned for the first 30 hoursâ and âwasnât allowed to leave the police station.â
âI was interrogated,â she said. âI wasnât allowed much sleep, no food, little water, toilets without toilet paper. Hygiene was not a thing in there at all.â
Blue shared that she was released after about 30-35 hours and sent to immigration, who took her passport. âThey didnât detain me, because there was about, in total, probably 20 of us. They donât have the space to detain 20 people, so we were allowed to leave, but I was left with no phone, no money, obviously, no passport,â she alleged. âI wasnât allowed to return to my villa because it was a crime scene. Weâre in the middle of Bali, and weâre like, âWhat do we do? Like, where do we go?ââ
Where Did Bonnie Blue Stay in Bali After Her Arrest?
Blue explained that the family of one of her âSchooliesâ participants âput [them] up in their hotel.â
âWe ordered room service, showered, so that was very nice, and nice to feel fresh and clean again, but I still had no clothes, like no clean underwear,â she said. âThe following day, we had to go back to the police station for more interrogating questions, but after the first 30 hours, I was able to check into a hotel. So I wasnât in prison.â
How Was Bonnie Blue Feeling After Her Arrest?
After her arrest, photos of Blue smiling and seemingly having an overall positive demeanor circulated online. While reflecting back on the time, Blue explained that she wouldnât âcryâ even if she was going to prison.
âIf Iâm going to jail, crying is generally not going to do anything,â she said. âAnd I canât stand it when people do crocodile tears. So yeah, sucking on a lollipop and wearing a cute two piece was the best thing I could do.â
When Was Bonnie Blue Able to Leave Bali?
After being fined $12 related to road violations with her âBangbusâ and receiving a 6-month ban from Indonesia, Blue claimed she had to go back to interrogation. She was then able to board her flight and was given back her passport.
âThat was scary, because it was like, well, youâve made out to the press and the whole world that youâve just released me. But the reality is, Iâm sat back in an office, not allowed to go to the toilet, not allowed to take a drink unless you say so,â she alleged. âWe didnât feel safe until we got on that plane, and that plane took off.â
Did Any Creators Reach Out to Bonnie Blue After Her Arrest?
Blue claimed that âa lot of creatorsâ reached out, with some âconfused if itâs a stunt.â When Blue didnât reply to their messages for a few days, the creators realized it was real. âA lot of support, a lot of love,â she said. âObviously haters as always, but youâre always going to have that.â
Will Bonnie Blue Return to Bali?
Despite her 6-month ban from Indonesia, Blue shared that she has her eyes set on returning in 2026 for another âSchooliesâ event. âIâll be back in time for Schoolies next year,â she said. âSo to me, it couldnât have worked out better.â
