The Jonas Brothers are getting in the holiday spirit!
Following the news that the band would be returning to their Disney roots with an upcoming holiday movie, PEOPLE has a first look at the film and can reveal a few more details about what fans have in store.
A Very Jonas Christmas, a title announced at JonasCon at American Dream in New Jersey on Sunday, March 23, is slated to premiere later this year on Disney+ and will follow Nick, Kevin and Joe as they face a series of obstacles in their attempt to make it back to New York from London in order to spend Christmas with their families.
“I think Disney was just such a great partner to put the full force of the holiday magic behind this movie,” Joe, 35, tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“One of the things that we’re really excited about, and that was so appealing to us about doing this project, … is that there’s a full album that’s coming along with the film that has some holiday music and some other music,” adds Nick, 32.
Stills from the movie, which PEOPLE can share exclusively, show that the brothers were clearly not afraid to have some fun with the upcoming project.
In one shot, which appears to take place inside a club, Joe is seen dressed in an Elton John-inspired look as his brothers look on with expressions of concern.
In another glimpse, Joe and Kevin, 37, go full-on tourist, sporting German-style hats and holding up a sweatshirt that reads “I don’t give a schnitzel” — with a picture of the German dish.
One other still shows the trio seemingly stranded on a snowy road with luggage in hand, while in another frame, Nick is seen sitting among a selection of Christmas trees.
The movie, which was shot in Toronto, also stars Isaac Aptaker, Elizabeth Berger, Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman and Scott Morgan. It was directed by Jessica Yu.
The brothers first revealed plans for the upcoming movie back in January, with a video of the trio reenacting the famous Love Actually cue card scene.
In their silly version of the scene, Joe doesn’t understand the concept, telling viewers, “Hi! We’re the Jonas Br…” as Nick interjects, “No, don’t say it!”
“The whole point is you don’t say it, you just let them read it,” The Last Five Years actor then adds.
After introducing themselves, the following cards reveal: “Sorry to bother you … but we’re making a Christmas movie.”
A Very Jonas Christmas will premiere on Disney+ during the 2025 holiday season.
