Some things never go out of style!

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, Tiffani Thiessen, 51, says she still owns her combat boots from the ’90s and loves that the fashion era has come full circle.

The actress notes that she “sees so much of it” with her daughter Harper, 14, whom she shares with husband Brady Smith. The two also share 9-year-old son Holt.

“She’s wearing big, low baggy pants, crop tops, chokers,” Thiessen says. “She’s doing all of that. The hair, it’s very ’90s right now. It’s funny because our Christmas card this year, we always do a different yearly theme, and this year, of course, was the ’90s. It was fun!”

The Saved By the Bell and Beverly Hills, 90210 alumna continues, “I literally still have my combat boots that I used to wear in the ’90s,” noting that she wore the vintage footwear in the holiday photo.

“I still wear them,” she says. “The fact that they’re back in style, it’s super fun. I feel like I see a lot of the ’90s. I mean, even the Calvin Kleins being shown above the pants.”

The decade carries many great memories for Thiessen, as she shares that it was her favorite era for fashion and music. “That was my childhood,” she says. “That was my prime. I grew up in ’74 – that’s when I was born. So my heightened years were those ’90s, and that is huge for me.”

The actress, also author to two cookbooks, Here We Go Again: Recipes and Inspiration to Level Up Your Leftovers and Pull Up a Chair: Recipes from My Family to Yours, has partnered with the protein lifestyle company Isopure to develop new protein-packed recipes.

Most recently, she put her own twist on delicious carrot muffins using the brand’s zero carb vanilla protein powder.

Thiessen tells PEOPLE that the partnership was “perfect,” as it aligned with her current wellness goals now that she is in her 50s. “This is all what I’m trying to do right now,” she says. “I wanted to make sure that my body, mind and all of it was really at the healthiest I could be.”

On the topic of nostalgia, the White Collar alumna, who also developed a savory holiday tart with creamy goat cheese and juicy pomegranate seeds for Isopure in November 2024, considered what food from her childhood she could recreate with the protein powder.

“Corn dogs were really nostalgic for me when I was a kid,” she says. “And I could probably do a mean batter with Isopure, you know what I mean? We’ve got to do that next time.”
