90 Day star Stacey Silva is the No. 1 fan of a new craze: a salmon sperm facial.
“Do you see the glow? Well there’s this new procedure called salmon sperm and I injected it in my face,” Silva, 50, exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting 90 Day: The Last Resort. “I have salmon sperm in my face. Well, salmon, DNA.”
Silva joked that she’s “a fish” now. “I guess it just gives you a glow,” she said. “It’s really popular in Korea, so it’s like this new hot thing everybody’s doing and I love it.”
When Silva first heard about the facial, she admitted that she was “a little freaked out.” She added, “But I was like, ‘I got to try this.’ Kind of like a Guinea pig at this point. But hey, I’m here to say it’s all good.”
Silva explained that the facial did not cause her pain, adding that “they numb you up” so she’s “used” to the process.
“It was just a bunch of little injections in the face,” she said. “Didn’t really hurt. It gives you an instant glow. You wake up glowing.”
The TLC star noted that she may have to go for follow-ups once a year. “A little touch up here and there,” she added.
When she’s not testing the waters of a new beauty trend, Silva is starring on 90 Day: The Last Resort with her boyfriend, Florian Sukaj.
“I just felt like Florian and I [had] been together for 10 years prior to therapy and we were at a place in our relationship that it was in dire need of help,” she told Us. “We had dealt with numerous things throughout our relationship such as the cheating scandal and the trust issues, communication, Florian’s anger as well.”
During the first season of Darcey and Stacey, which aired in 2020, Stacey confronted Florian about a video she saw of him in bed with another woman. Florian went on to confess that he had been unfaithful before their April 2020 wedding. (The TLC reality show featured sisters Darcey and Stacey Silva and was canceled in 2023 after season 4.)
“I mean there [were] just so many things that needed to be fixed,” she continued. “Florian was kind apprehensive at first for therapy because he doesn’t believe in it but I do. It was either this or nothing. It was make it or break it, for sure.”
90 Day: The Last Resort airs on TLC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
