Though legions of fans might revisit 1990’s Home Alone (and 1992’s Home Alone 2: Lost in New York) every year, the fictional McCallister kids haven’t gotten back together in thirty years — until now.
On Sunday, Dec. 8, Devin Ratray, Kristen Minter, Michael Maronna, Angela Goethals and Jed Cohen reunited at Pandora’s Box Toys & Collectibles in Lafayette, N.J. for a meet and greet. In photos shared online, the quintet posed with each other and with fans. The store wrote on Instagram, “This was the first time they had all been together in over 30 years!”
In Home Alone, Macaulay Culkin stars as Kevin McCallister, the family’s youngest son who accidentally gets left at home when the family goes to Paris for Christmas. Ratray, 47, played eldest brother Buzz. Minter, 59, played cousin Heather. Maronna, 47, played brother Jeff and Goethals, 47, played sister Linnie. Cohen, 48, rounded out the group as cousin Rod.
Catherine O’Hara played Kevin’s mom, Kate, John Heard played dad Peter and Hillary Wolf played Kevin’s oldest sister, Megan. For Home Alone 2, Minter and Goethals did not return, but Kieran Culkin, Macaulay’s brother, joined as another cousin.
Back in 2021, Ratray opened up to PEOPLE about his bond with his Home Alone costars and teased a reunion. “They have been planning a reunion online and I just recently, as in a couple of days ago, got on their messenger chat thread, and I have been trying to keep up with Jed Cohen and Diana [Rein] and Terrie [Snell] and Angela Goethals and Hillary Wolf,” he said. Ratray also reprised his role as Buzz in 2021’s Home Sweet Home Alone on Disney+.
Ratray told PEOPLE he was always grateful for the movie. “This film has become legacy and has affected families now for more than one generation,” he said. “Parents are showing children, children are showing grandchildren something that I was a part of. I don’t know what life has been like without Home Alone, since I just turned 13. I’ve come to realize that this movie, it’s bigger than me. It’s bigger than any actor’s ego. It has become part of indelible imprints in family — in their consciousness.”
Back in January, O’Hara, 70, spoke to PEOPLE about one lingering Home Alone debate — how wealthy the McCallisters are. Though she thought the family’s house was “pretty amazing,” she said she never considered their finances.“I was aware of how beautiful it was, but no, I never thought of their money,” she said. “That’s not where my head was when I was doing [the movie]. Of course, they all went to Paris, didn’t they?”

As for her involvement in the film, O’Hara said that when she chooses films, “I need to care about the whole thing. I don’t care to do a great role in a bad project. You want to be part of something good, and that’s how you go.” Filming the movie “was lovely,” she said, adding, “All those kids that played our children were just lovely.”
