Though Taylor Swift went home empty-handed from the 2025 Grammy Awards, she still celebrated Beyoncé’s big album of the year win.
Swift was seen on camera clinking champagne glasses with Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, after the Cowboy Carter artist accepted her Grammy onstage on Feb. 2.
Swift was also a nominee in the album of the year category, for her The Tortured Poets Department.

The singer took the stage with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, first thanking and praising the firefighters who presented her with the award.
“I just feel very full and very honored,” said Beyoncé. “It’s been many, many years.”

“Thank you for supporting all of us and recognizing the heroes that are standing behind me and the sheroes,” L.A. Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone said, thanking “first responders who came from near and far” to battle the blaze.
“Our heartfelt condolences and prayers remain with all the families” who lost loved ones or homes or businesses, Marrone said. “I am confident that we will recover and rebuild together.”

After an introduction from Queen Latifah highlighting her “extraordinary impact,” a tribute video played showcasing the many milestones of Keys’ career.
“She’s raised millions to help children in need,” Latifah highlighted of Keys in the video. “The Recording Academy is proud to honor a visionary, a trailblazer and a global inspiration.”
Keys then took the stage holding hands with her 10-year-old son, Genesis.
During her speech, “This is for all the ladies that know the magic that they bring to the room.”
“This is not the time shut down a diversity of voices,” said Keys, seemingly referencing President Donald Trump’s recent public crusade against diversity equity and inclusion initiatives. “DEI is not a threat it’s a gift and the more voices the more powerful the sound.”
Said Keys, “This room is unstoppable, powerful, it’s uniqueness at its finest.”
The Global Impact Award, first established in 2023, recognizes artists “whose influence extends far beyond music.”

Wicked star Cynthia Erivo was the first performer to take the stage during the Quincy Jones tribute, singing Frank Sinatra’s rendition of “Fly Me to the Moon,” which Jones arranged, accompanied by Herbie Hancock.
Lainey Wilson performed next, with help from Jacob Collier, singing, “Let The Good Times Roll.”
Iconic musician Stevie Wonder then joined Hancock, playing the harmonica to “Bluesette,” from Jones’ 1975 album.
Telling the late Jones, “I love you,” Wonder reflected on recording the Jones-produced “We Are the World.” Then, joined by a choir of student singers in “L.A.” heart shirts (and much of the Grammys audience), Wonder sang the 1985 charity single.
Smith took the stage one last time, stating, “Quincy Jones always took care of people, and that’s how he fed the world.”
The tribute ended with Janelle Monáe, dressed in Michael Jackson’s iconic style, singing, “Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough.” (Jones produced the song).

Carter won in the audio book, narration, and storytelling recording category for Last Sundays in Plains: A Centennial Celebration. Last Sundays was comprised of recordings from Carter’s final Sunday School lessons given at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Georgia.
The late president’s three previous Grammys were in the spoken word category, as well.
