One of the most popular sitcoms in the 00s was the BBC’s Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps that followed the lives of five twenty-somethings living in Runcorn, Cheshire.

The show ran for ten years and nine seasons and made household names out of its stars, which included Will Mellor, Ralf Little, Natalie Casey, Sheridan Smith and Beverley Callard. One of the main characters on the show was Donna Henshaw, played by Natalie, who was the on-off girlfriend, and eventually wife, of Will’s Gaz Wilkinson.

Natalie, 45, is also known for her roles in Hollyoaks, where she played Carol Groves between 1996 and 2000, before making a cameo appearance in 2025. The star has also featured in the likes of Missing, Spot Bots and Agatha Raisin.

However, Natalie isn’t the only famous face in her family, as she is the youngster sister of Anna-Jane Casey, a talented dancer and stage actress.

Here’s all you need to know about Anna-Jane…

Natalie’s famous sister Anna-Jane Casey

Anna-Jane is Natalie’s older sister, and while Natalie is known for her screen credits, Anna-Jane has acted in some of the biggest stage productions on the West End.

She was just 16 when she made her West End debut, playing Rumpleteazer in Cats. She followed this up with roles in Children of Eden, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Starlight Express.

One of her biggest credits came in 1998, when she landed the role of Anita in West Side Story. During the production’s tour, she also found love, with fellow stage actor Graham McDuff.

The star still continues to perform, appearing in the likes of Cabaret, Mother Goose and Love Birds. Anna-Jane has also made the occasional screen appearance, securing roles in Heartbeat, The Bill and Holby City.

The sisters have a close bond

Natalie and her sister are incredibly close, and back in 2019, when Natalie was due to appear in Guys and Dolls, she told Exposed how her sister prepared her for touring. “I’m also excited for working on the Crucible Stage – that’s a massive deal for me,” she told the publication. “My sister has been here a lot and always says how it’s the most magical and amazing place in the world.”

Anna-Jane also joked in an interview with WhatsOnStage back in 2002 that the sisters should have considered “swap[ping]” careers due to Natalie’s love of musical theatre.
